i layed out in the sun.  i think i might have gotten a tad crispy.  lol.  (i wasn't even out long.  i can't be--i get too hot and feel sickly.) 

but i do turn a very delicious color.   

Would that be a shade of brown or red?  I turn red....no tan just red and freckles....ggggrrrr

Me are you a red head? My Hubby is and that's what happens to him. He never tans, he just burns repeatedly all Summer long.  He's the perfect candidate for skin cancer. 

Yep, thats one of the hazards of being a redhead.  I don't do the sun if I can avoid it. 

My Hubby foolishly exposes himself to the sun unprotected.  He use to use sunblock, but anymore he doesn't. I try not to nag him about it.... it's his choice.  I'm not a red head, but I don't get out in the sun too much. I mostly go out in the evening, after the sun goes down a little.

I tan, but my tan has more of a reddish tint that brown or yellow. It doesn't look like sunburn, but it is different.

Be careful..... you don't want to become a crispy critter.  Another consideration...... when you sun tan too much, you end up looking like a troll doll in later life.  You don't want that.  My Gawd.... I've become a Debi Downer!!! 

I know, but you're right. I didn't use to care how much sun I got and now I'm noticing how some of the older sun goddesses look much older than what they are. I have a couple friends who have developed skin cancer because they refuse to wear sunblock. I over do it sometimes myself, but I try to take sun in small doses until I've got a decent base tan, then I increase my exposure to the sun. If I feel like I'm getting a burn at all, I grab the sunblock. Oh, and I never lay out in the sun. Way too boring. I just enjoying being outside in the sun, doing something.

Some how the thought of getting stuck a gagillion times with a needle just don't thrill me at all.  Guess I'm what ya might call a chicken even though I've seen some tattoo's I wouldn't mind having.
