I have a feeling it may not be much better for your drive home.

I'm planning on doubling that time going home....

Lets hope it has quit by then and they've had time to clean the roads and you're wrong about doubling the time.
I've been up for a little over and hour and have seen a plow go by twice and both times with the blade up.  Whats with that?

Ignorance and fanaticism are ravenous. They require constant feeding.

Plow drivers have priorities within their assigned areas, the most important of which is to open up the primary roads, or main traffic arteries. Once this is accomplished, and it will take awhile with the snow still falling, a deicer substrate can be applied.

The problem with storms like this is that the wind blows the snow right back, and keeping the main roads cleared is a job that never ends.

There will be about a 4 hour window between noon and 4 pm in which the snow should stop falling; but the system is pinwheeling and expected to turn back toward us after that 4 hour window. MAYBE enough time to get the main roads cleared and deiced; IF the wind doesn't kick in to high gear, which it likely will at some point as the system wheels around.

he deserves far worse than that.  i've heard he's dying-i believe that at the funeral.

I could chop him in the throat!
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

I don't like it when they swing around for a second go 'cause they're usually worse.  Of course I know that wouldn't break your heart.

I can remember my "granny" telling me, that when the wind comes from the east with a storm in it....It will be a whopper.

The Blizzard of '78'...that is exactly what happened.

Just came in and the main roads in Anderson are all pretty good, wet not not slick and we were uptown and over most of the south part of town running errands.

I was out running errands earlier and the main roads are "okay" but need some serious dressing up. Lots of ice turds all along the road and scattered about. Secondary roads are a crap shoot, and any along open areas are sure to be snow covered and possibly closed soon if they don't get to them quickly.

Wind is gusting it up out this way. I'll probably have to clear the drive again before sunset. . .
