Umm, I just found an insured while doing my audit that has been renting the same residence since 1983. I can't imagine renting a place for 23 years. Hell, they could've paid it off by now! LOL

Well now I'm really confused. The policy inception date was 1983 but the dwelling was built in 1995. I guess they moved and kept the same policy? I thought they always had to be rewritten because if its in a different location, the risk could be different? Oh well. That's the old agent we took these over from for ya.

That's the way we do the renters policies here. They keep the same policy number if they move and it will be the same type of policy. We just re-evaluate it according to territory, etc.  Now if they have a homeowners policy then buy a different house, those have to be re-written.

My old company we had to rewrite them. I haven't come across that here yet. Maybe its the same. Oh well...old habits die hard.
