"Take It Back"

Her love rains down on me easy as the breeze
I listen to her breathing it sounds like the waves on the sea
I was thinking all about her, burning with rage and desire
We were spinning into darkness; the earth was on fire

She could take it back, she might take it back someday

So I spy on her, I lie to her, I make promises I cannot keep
Then I hear her laughter rising, rising from the deep
And I make her prove her love for me, I take all that I can take
And I push her to the limit to see if she will break

She might take it back, she could take it back some day

Now I have seen the warnings, screaming from all sides
It's easy to ignore them and god knows I've tried
All this temptation, it turned my faith to lies
Until I couldn't see the danger or hear the rising tide

She can take it back, she will take it back some day

Sure did see a lot of bikers taking advantage of the nice day on our way to and from Indy.

Hah! You should have seen them down in Brown County! At one point we were in a line of motorcycles at least a mile long, behind two trucks pulling travel trailers at 15 mph. The cops finally made them pull over so we could all get through!

Ah, did the Brown Co thing huh?  Bet that was a neat ride.  We went to the Music Lover's Convention and got some more music DVD's to keep us occupied.  Next one won't be until Jan.

Well, it was a beautiful day for taking the steel horse out for a stretch of the legs; and probably one of the last good days we'll have for quite some time. I had her out yesterday too, but today we went for a nice long cruise.  And we had a LOT of company on this one. It was nice because on the way back we were the first to peel off and head for the barn. The rest of them live in Delaware county and so had a way to go beyond Anderson. Typically it has been the other way around!

I may get another day or two in before I have to put her up for the winter, so I intend to procrastinate on doing so for as long as possible.  It is the therapy I need!  8)

I can't wait until I get a new job. I want a new set of pipes and the Screaming Eagle 110 kit installed on her sometime next year. . .

. . . Speaking of Screaming Eagles. . . Saw a 2010 Screaming Eagle Street Glide at the bar we stopped at. MAN what a motorcycle! First one I have seen up close and personal. And for 31k a copy it is likely one of the few times I'll see one.

Looked just like this one!

Mr442

The wife and I snuck off yesterday afternoon on the Goldwing.  Rode up to Crawfordsville for some lunch, then down through the country to Ladoga, after that it was over to Jamestown, then down to IN 240 and back across it to Greencastle.  From there we headed south to Worthington, where it was time to head towards home :'(  We wound our way back west to IN 63, and followed it north.  Only 240 miles for us, but our time was limited.

I thought about riding to Brown County, but based on past experience I knew it would be crowded, so I took a different loop.

Really Story was the only truly crowded portion, with the exception of the truck/trailer clogging incident! Other than that it was fairly smooth sailing.

It's shaping up to be a nice morning. I may have to get out some more. . .

Mr442

Well that's good to hear, glad it wasn't crowded.  We were down there a few (OK, quite a few) years ago on the M/C, on the last nice week end of the year, and could have walked through Nashville faster than we rode.

Lot of deer on the move though!  :spooked: Saw plenty of antlered road kills too. Thankfully that was not an issue for us!

That's the one thing that had me white knuckling yesterday, fear of a 4 legged beast presenting itself just beyond the curve or over the rise. . . They are very thick down that way!  :spooked:

Exterminator

I am about a week out from sending in a (large) deposit on a puppy I hope to obtain in early spring and have been anxiously awaiting the results of the North American Sieger Show in California this weekend which have been trickling in...top kennel group for 2009 is (again) von Wilhendorf (the breeder I've been working with) and top progeny group is Teejay (my puppy daddy)!  Woot!
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.
