A friend said to me:

i remember in my early teens when i was locked up, for running away, i worked in the kitchen with this older lady.. she had to be right around 70 and of course i was young and not afraid to ask anything
so i asked did she still have sex at that age.. i wanted to know what my future might look like..lol
she said yes.. best it's ever been
i was relieved  :biggrin:

I guess there is still hope. LOL

Tryin' to clean carpets in a house full of furniture is not fun......I knew I shoulda just stuck to doin' the middle of the rooms but nooooo  I gotta do the whole thing.....mine and hubby's backs are not liking us too well right now  :no: ....Might just have to stick to the middle of the other 3 rooms... :yes:

I got a bunch of diced tomato's put in the freezer this morning now to tackle another room of carpet..... :wacko:  Don't have as much furniture to move in this one though... :biggrin:

Are you steam cleaning those carpets?  I'm staying at my friend's house while she is on her honeymoon and I feel like I need to get a steam cleaner for her house.  The spare room I normally stay in smells like dog pee so bad I can't even walk in there.  I don't know how they don't smell that.   :no:

Nope, just cold water and vinegar.  Steam cleaning is bad for carpets actually and if there's a stain it sets it in.  I just use Clorox Oxi Magic to remove spots. I've done some real nasty carpets in my time, including those that pets had stunk up and vinegar usually gets it out.  I have had to put soda down on some and leave over night or so and then vacuum it up before I cleaned them though.

That's what I use in the carpet cleaner.  I used it in the ones I rented and now that I have one that's what I use in it.  How much I use just depends on how bad the odor is if there is one.  I guess I use anywhere from 1/4c to 1/2 cup in the water container.  I've done it so long I don't really measure anymore.  When I was renting the cleaners I just didn't turn on the heating element.  I have, at times, used bleach, about two capfuls, about 1Tbl of Tide, and just a tad of fabric softener.  Most generally the carpets I clean already have too much soap in them though so just getting the soap out with the vinegar water is all they really need and they clean up great.  I do a barefoot test after they're dry and its amazing how much softer they are too.

Ya learn real quick if yer carpets get sticky and rough feeling and get dirty faster...that means ya used too much soap....

Our grandson ran into our room at 8am, and said grandpa we are late for school.  grandpa said, okay grandma, lets get up!  soooo i did.  i went into the bathroom and came back, and there they were, the three of them, granddaughter grandpa and grandson, in the bed under the covers. it was a trick i tell ya!

and it was saturday.
