Parades are great! I remember the Harvest Homecoming parade where I grew up. Its probably this week, actually...I miss going. I used to get those silly clips (today I would call them roach clips! LOL) that had the leather strings hanging down with bright colored feathers at the end. I would wear them in my hair. Every year at Harvest Homecoming I bought some!

Hmmm....didn't see anything like THAT there. But, I do know what you're talking about. They sold those at the county fair back home -- along with plastic cowboy hats that you could get airbrush/painted to match the clips!

Nope, today we got candy and a few beads! (G-rated, of course)

Yep! I remember those! And that was back in the days when EVERYONE had to have those rock band mirrors. We had Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchett, Ozzy...

Oooh yeah! I think I went for the softer side...Unicorns...Rainbows...always at the dart/balloon game.

Oh well, so did I. But those were my brothers (they were teens in the early 80s) and I remember looking at them. I always got my feathers, so I didn't even care to ask for those mirrors, too.

We also had a "dime toss" game where you could win mugs & unique glassware if your dime landed in it. Then you had to walk around all night with 15 glasses!

Remember the little yellow ducks? You pick them up and get a certain colored circle and you got a goldfish.

Sure do! And the frog game where you had to slam the thing onto lily pads to win a stuffed animal!

Recycle - is that like getting back up on the bike after you have fallen off of it?
