I'm hoping this isn't true, but can't find anything to the contrary.  An Indian woman gave birth at age 72.   :spooked:  She had in vitro treatments for two years and now she and her 79 year old hubby are the proud parents of a boy.  Why would a fertility clinic even allow this?  She's supposedly the second woman over 70 to give birth.

Personally, I think it is extremely selfish to have a child at that age.  How in the hell are they going to keep up with a toddler?  When the boy turns five his dad will be 84 and mom will be 77.   Will his parents even be around when he is 10?  15?   I can't imagine what kind of life that child will have.  I know there is no guarantee that a younger parent will be around to watch their child grow up, but there is a lot more chance of that happening than for this couple.

It's India.

Don't know if any of you here have Microsoft Windows -- I do, and have been very satisfied -- except for a glitch now and then. Last night it happened again, at bedtime, when I decided to check my e-mail and hit a wrong key. Big mistake, for I was sleepy and found I had just accepted an upgrade of Windows 10 (they flash it on the screen all the time). It took probably 2 hours to install, while I tried to stay awake.

This morning when I turned on my computer, I did not see one single thing I recognized. First of all, to get started, they needed the password I used when I bought my computer, and I couldn't remember it. After a couple of hours of getting nowhere, I was told I had to start over because too many attempts had been made, so I decided I was going to cancel Windows 10.
I don't like being out-smarted by machines, but this time  I did not hesitate a second when offered 3 choices, one of which was to un-install Windows 10 and re-install Windows 7.

It took a couple of hours, but it was worth it to see my old familiar Windows 7 screen again. The first things I looked for were for my security and mail and both were there. Then I decided to check out the Zone, but couldn't get in: had to re-apply and use another password, and that took a while. And here I am.  Did I mention that while I was writing this we had a whopper of a thunderstorm, with heavy rain?

Glad you managed to get 7 back. I voluntarilly put 10 on my laptop when they first offered it and wish I hadn't. It said nothing about losing all  your files you had on your computer and all my music, photos, and videos are gone.

That's too bad. I had been resisting because I don't like change, especially on my computer.

We had Windows 10 put on my husband's laptop and neither of us like it at all. I think it is much harder to use than any of the earlier versions.

Thanks, Anne. I am glad to hear I'm not the only one. Now I don't feel quite as dumb.

There is a reason we call it "Micro-Sux". Above is a short list of them. There are MANY more.

Thanks for listing some of the reasons I went Mac and hope I never have to go back.  (It's bad enough I have a Micro-Sux unit I am forced to use in my work. And work is ALL I use it for.)

Today we were supposed to be in Ft. Worth to attend our grandson's high school graduation but husband was pretty sick last week and the doctor wouldn't let him travel. We cancelled our flights and thought we would miss it. But they streamed it live on the web so we were watching it at 9 this morning. It was great we probably saw more than if we were there. We hated not seeing everyone but it worked out OK. Now the really good part, he had cords for Academic Decathalon, Spanish Honor Society, top 10 percent of the class, Interact Club, National Honor Society, distinguished graduation plan, and last of all one from the blood drive. We are very proud of him.😂

Computers are wonderful things sometimes. Glad you got to see your grandson graduate.

Congratulations and congrats to him on all those accomplishments. Sounds like he has a bright future ahead of him. Hope your husband is better?

Yes, he is much better. Came down with a bad case of bronchitis and a full fledged asthma attack, loaded him up with meds and said not to fly for at least 4 days.

As of tomorrow, I will have been married 33 years!  I feel as if I am the luckiest man on earth to have been able to have the woman I have in my life!  She is amazing in so many ways....I pray that I am lucky enough to get another 33 in before I get to check out of the world. :smitten:
