Nighthawk

After the 'offing' of UBL Sunday night we have been inundated with people singing the praises of Obama and how HE killed UBL.

How about looking at the facts for a bit.

We were gathering intel on UBL even before 9/11 but it wasn't until after 9/11 that we started getting better intel from detainees. You know, those war prisoners being held in secret prisons and being interrogated with techniques that people were all upset about, including Obama. These prisons and techniques were put in place by Bush and started the ball rolling that ultimately lead to UBL's death.

It was during Bush's administration that we learned of the courier that we followed to UBL. This info was obtained from a detainee in one of those 'horrible' prisons using those 'inhumane' techniques. We didn't learn the courier's true name until 2007. In 2009 we learned, by following that courier, areas in Pakistan where he operated.

I wasn't JUST Obama, or any one individual that did this. It just happened to be Obama in the WH at the time UBL was killed.

Credit needs to be given to all who had a hand.

So, I give a thank you to Bush and his administration for putting the tools in place to track UBL down. Also, Thanks to Obama and his administration for having the resolve to act on the intel gathered.

But, the biggest THANK YOU should go to the people 'in the trenches' who gathered the intel, pinpointed where he was and especially to the SEAL who ultimately put the bullet in UBL's head.

Bush could have stomped puppies to death on national television, said it was in the interest of national security, and you'd have stood in line for an opportunity to fellate him.  Clearly there is nothing Obama can ever do that will impress you so why not just call him an uppity negro and be done with it?

Did you not read my post??

Apparently not or you would have seen that I did give him credit for his part in eliminating UBL.

Exterminator

That's giving him credit?

As far as how I arrived at the obvious conclusion that I did, Occam's razor.

What did you expect? Me to slobber and drool all over the guy for his part? Bow down to him as the messiah as all the Libs do? All because he finally showed some backbone??

HA!!!

I will give the guy thanks and credit for his part in this and maybe show a bit more respect but that's all. I still don't like his policies and believe that he is the worst thing to happen to this country in a looooong time.

Not at all; I expected exactly what you offered.  Your ilk is fairly predictable.

This is exactly what I'm talking about and is tantamount to giving someone credit for not beating his wife any more.

I see that you cherry picked the parts of my post that you could spin and conveniently left out where I did give Obama thanks and credit.

No cherry picking was required; it says what it says.

Well you showed you colors.  It's not red, white and blue.  It's green for out of this world, brown for shit and yellow for being a coward.

Wall Street going through the roof paid for by Main Street.  All of the power going to the top.  All of the money going to the top.  Jobs still going overseas and the American worker broke.

And you dumbass wants to put the Teabagging Republicans back in.  All I care to say to you is :azz: :finger2:  :tiphat:

Huh. . . so the media reports that the courier utilized in tracking Bin Laden down being identified in August of last year, are bullshit?

So the reported (today) method of identification of that courier's cell phone in August of last year, and the reported data that denote that that same cell phone always went dead whenever the courier entered the compound, but only very recently did it fail to do so, providing validation for the mission assumption surrounding the fact Bin Laden was in residence. is also bullshit?

And I suppose the fact that the U.S. is directly responsible for Bin Laden's rise to power via financial and militarily propping of him is also Bullshit? (Just as we did with SH, who also came back to bite us).

Interesting that you provide no credible source for your conjecture. . .

At least this administration delivered on a key objective for the war on terror.

At least this administration delivered the news in a professional manner, and timely.

At least this POTUS didn't strut out aboard a USN Aircraft Carrier sporting a sock stuffed jock beneath a coverall while squalling "mission accomplished".

And while it may be true that Spec Ops personnel pulled the trigger, anyone with any level of military experience knows that a mission targeting such a high level objective does NOT get prosecuted without the CIC giving it the green light; right down to the point of trigger pull.

No one is expected to "slobber and drool" over this event; in fact I dare say that the level of celebration that has transpired post operation within this country is highly unacceptable and insidious! In fact, I find it downright disgusting!

It's one thing for our active military personnel to celebrate the achievement of a milestone, but quite another for the average citizen to do so within such a very public venue such as that which has transpired over the past 24-48 hours. These actions serve no useful purpose that would positively contribute to our national/global quality of life, and in fact serve to provide validation for the opposing perspectives and to further inflame their mission; making us no better than those who celebrated the destruction on 9/11. In fact, we're JUST as bad as they are!

nope, not at all.

I was talking about Occam's razor.......applying it to the messiah, of all people.

Coulda drooled instead.

Possibly slobbered.

Maybe bowed down to his backbone.

Very telling that not a single one of you libtards can admit the fact that this mission against UBL would NOT of happened if Bush's policies and procedures were not in place.

It is also very telling that you can't be honest enough to give credit to anyone other than your messiah for taking out UBL.
