Anyone else miss people dropping in or are you all too young to remember that?

          I really do, but at my age 80 all of the family of both of us and all of our friends have pass on.   It's just my wife, two sisters and son that are left.  All of the other old folks are in the same boat and don't seem to want close friends.     It's really hard when a close friend passes.

Yes,it is. I still have lots of family, but they mostly live out of state. Friends would drop in, just to visit, maybe play some cards, set out some refreshments. No fuss, no bother, just relax and enjoy the time together.

  This was especially true when our son was home.  Our friends and their kids would stop by.  We always keep soft drinks, pop corn and treat for these occasions.

We were not a football family until my four sisters and I married and/or had boyfriends. Then mom's house was full. Same for major holidays. Then everybody but one sister moved away from Bluefield. I miss those days.
