Well I crossed my old man back in Oregon, don't take me alive.
Got a case of dynamite, I could hold out here all night.
Yes I crossed my old man back in Oregon don't take me alive. . .

I was looking for a list of those stores, but couldn't find it.  Has a list of the affected locations been released?
Besides Macy's closing, Logan's Steakhouses is closing a bunch of stores also.

Those guys wrote some curious lyrics and some amazing instrumentals....it is hard to NOT like them.

Anyone watch the documentary about Mr. Jimmy Carter last night on PBS? I thought it was interesting. Next week is about Mr. Nixon.

I didn't.  Is this an ongoing series about former presidents?

I didn't watch it either but may try to catch it when they put Tricky Dicky on. Lol, and we all thought he was such a crook and we have had presidents who made him look like a choir boy.

Such as whom?  (I assume you mean subsequent to Nixon)

Bush, Clinton(Bill), heck even Ronald Reagan and Kennedy. None of them are innocent. Now whether they have committed crimes that we know about or have heard is a different story. I just think that everyone thought Nixon was dirty and he is no worse than most of the ones in Congress these days.

I got my first lesson in politics back in Bluefield, WV when I was still in high school. One of my cousins married a young man who didn't complete high school, went to work on the railroad. One day they were at my mother's house for Sunday dinner, and he (Randy) was talking about a job he had on the side; one that paid well around election time was for a well known lawyer. I asked him what the job was, and he said "Dan gives me money to buy likker to give to people so they will vote for him."

Just goes to show that, even then, money buys influence and votes.

My aunt was in the nursing home abou 20 years ago. A man came there to register patients to vote absentee. He registered her and very nicely filled out her ballot for her. Now my aunt didn't even know her own name but I am sure she voted a straight ticket. Her daughter found out and complained, didn't make any difference, ballot had been cast. I wonder how much of that goes on.

I bet more than we know or hear about it.
