I find it so annoying how criminal investigators make knee-jerk judgements about the reaction of family members after a death. If the spouce, boyfriend, girlfriend, child doesn't act exactly how they think they should, they become a suspect.

I agree, Sandy, everyone has a different way of grieving and short of violence they should all be acceptable to a point.

Unfortunately, the statistics back up their being suspicious of family members. . .  Granted, statistics do not make it the "go to" resource for solutions to criminal investigations, but they do support elimination of that likely source as early as possible in any investigation . . .

To me, it's almost as bad or as predictable as the tv reporter interview. They pick the first derelict they can find and the person always says "this is such a shock" because "nothing like that happens here" or "he/she was such a nice person".

The first thing that comes out of the investigator's mouth is "I was suspicious of the way he/she responded. He/she was too calm/hysterical/confused/angry/depressed/alert/afraid" whatever. There isn't an appropriate behavior it seems.

Exactly, if they said "I was suspicious because I suspect everyone until I rule them out (which is likely true) I'd be a lot happier. ;D

Fixed this for you!

That made me also think about the McDonald's cheeseburger guy who helped the woman who had been stashed in his neighbor's basement?

Man, I just realized that the Miss Universe pageant is here in South Florida this year.  Maybe I should be out and about town to see if I can spot any of the hotties.  :drool1:  ;D

I just love it when people come and visit this state, and then lie about the temperature while they're here.  It was nowhere NEAR 80 degrees here in South Florida when this guy took a selfie from a marina in Miami, and posted it to his friends on Facebook.  The actual temperature here at the time the picture was taken was 69 degrees.   :rotfl:

Maybe it just felt like 80 to him.  ;D

That's what I was thinking too Anne!  ;D

If you are having weather like we had the last few days, 50 would feel like 80...

Maybe that's the case guys.  We absolutely do have plenty of winter days where the temperature is sunny and 80 degrees, however today was not one of them.  ;D

When our son lived in FL we would usually go visit in Jan or Feb for a couple weeks. We would go out in our shirtsleeves and they would have coats and gloves. When it was warm enough for them we were sweating.

Yeah a buddy of mine comes up from Ft. Meyers in the spring when it is in the 50's and 60's...we are loving the weather, wearing short sleeves and he is FREEZING.
