I used to play Oregon Trail! My son's first computer was a Commodor (sp?). He was in Jr. High (that's middle school for you youngsters.)  :) (I realize it is an apple in the picture, but it reminds me of my son's.)

Yeah, way back in the beginning, they all kind of looked similar to each other.

The large drop shows the salt water which is 97% of the water on Earth. The smaller drop is freshwater. Nearly 70% of freshwater is trapped in glaciers, 30% is in the ground, and only 0.3% is found in all of the lakes, rivers, and streams around the world.

Why yes, if you could get the salt out of water for a penny a gallon you could become a millionaire.

So this is the second day in a row this week that I have witnessed random acts of kindness. I will share what I witnessed this morning at McDonalds in Daleville.

I was walking in and in front of me was a young mother and her daughter. While we waited in line she was talking to her daughter and asking her what she wanted. "Two breakfast burritos and a juice.", came the reply from the perhaps two year old.

Obviously mom did not have enough money for the child's request, as she replied, "Well. Mommy has five dollars and she has to eat too." (I'll spare you the rest of the conversation but suffice to say the child was indeed hungry).

As I listened to the exchange I had already decided that mother and child's breakfast was going to be on me; but the man in front of her turned around and handed her 10 dollars and said to her, "I want to buy you and your daughter breakfast". The mother tried to politely decline, but the man insisted, kindly but firmly. It was clear he was as sincere as I intended to be. Mom relented, and the man turned and went to get his drink.

Mom had a very hard time ordering, as she was overcome with emotion thanks to the stranger's kindness. As she struggled the man walked back and grabbed his bag and left. On his way out he crossed right in front of me and I fist bumped him.

I was in a hurry to get to work until I witnessed that. It changed the tone of my whole day for the better. I decided to eat in the establishment instead of behind the wheel as I usually do.

I discreetly watched that child eat her breakfast as if she were famished, and observed mom go back up and buy her two more breakfast burritos; which she ate just as quickly.

That man fed a child today; and fed my soul with his sincere act of kindness. I truly hope it is returned to him 10 fold when he needs it most.

You'd have probably spit on her and told her to get a job.

You once again confirm my thoughts about you with such statements.  Proving you have NO clue and No class.
I'm not going to pat myself on the back, but there are people on this very forum, that knows differently of me, for a fact, that I am not as you THINK I am.

Oh, then you really weren't posting to HH's post like I thought because that would be telling lies about people you don't know and I know you're above that sort of thing.

Do you understand the meaning of the word, "probably"?  I know it's hard for you since it has three syllables and what not...

The way the two of you love to shit on poor people (especially those of color), it was not uncalled for at all.
