It shouldn't have been, but I would say all that wind was an unexpected event.  :icon_twisted:

Sure ya' will!  We'll be watching this same shit about one year from now.     :rotfl:

He said he wants to walk between two skyscrapers in New York which seems a bit anticlimactic given these last two that we've watched.

This is making me a nervous wreck and I can't make myself leave the room.  I'm not looking up at the TV though.

Thought you weren't going to watch.   :sneaky:

It was probably Chicago until he dealt with that wind in the Grand Canyon. . .

Speaking of Chicago:

Congratulations Chicago Blackhawks 2013! STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!

2nd time since 2010!

And they finished off Boston in style. 2 goals inside of a minute in the third period to tie it and then win it!  8)

Great! I fell asleep during the game (third period) and missed the ending. But I'm really glad they won. I have not liked the Bruins ever since Tim Thomas snubbed the White House invitation after their title win because of 'political reasons.'

I was working so I could not even watch it live. (I did DVR it). However, my love of the game forced me to keep ESPN up in a window on my computer and I was reading their live "chat" which included replays of key plays. So I saw the highlights within moments of happening.

Awesome series between two very closely matched legacy teams.

I think it came down to durability, stamina, and youth in my opinion. The Bruins were limping through game 6 due to injuries, and they were just physically spent. While the Hawks had their share of bump, bruises, and cuts as well, I believe their relative youth allowed them to bounce back a little quicker and exert the drive needed to put them over the top.

I spent my entire youth and decades of my adult life sitting in Chicago Stadium and the United Center hoping that I was watching a Cup winning team every year. Not until I moved away did the organization finally get its act together and achieve that; twice in 4 seasons.

Never thought I would see that in my lifetime.

The times I have been able to watch closely in this series, I was very worried about the Hawk's power play. It seems to me that they didn't even get off a shot on goal during of their power plays. Their defense and penalty kill units saved their butts. Especially last night when it seemed as though they were doing nothing but killing penalties. Four penalties in a 15 minute span? Was that the home ice advantage working?

I was actually frustrated with the Hawks power play in this series. It just seemed like all they were doing was dumping the puck into the Boston End and hoping for something to happen. Of course, it is also a testimonial to Boston's penalty kill squads too.

I was wondering about that home ice thing as well. It just seemed like in a few instances those calls could have gone either way and went against the Hawks more often than not.

The sad thing is that the Second Hawks Cup in 4 years will have an asterisk behind it in the record books, due to a strike shortened season.   And the Hockey Gods that follow us will lessen the achievement because of it.
