                                   Today's Anderson Herald Bulletin,  Indianapolis
Rushville teen faces prison after sex doll prank goes awry.

A Rushville senior was rested for a felony and facing 8 years for a prank of putting a sex doll in a restroom at the school.

A janitor at the school saw him leaving the building.  After viewing a security tape they saw him enter the building with a small box and leaving with out it.

The administration of the school thought it was a bomb and called the police.  The bomb squad, many cops, K9 dogs, I'll bet it was a circus.  The key stone cops all over again.  After all of this they found a sex doll in a rest room.

Joe Schumm, a professor at the Indiana University School of Law-Indianapolis, questioned the validity of the charges.  "Their reactions is understandable, but use the school disciplinary process" he said.  :Don't try to label the kid a felon for the rest of his life.  The Associated Press.

More stupidity of a over zealous prosecutor.  What is America coming too.

As I predicted to my coworkers last night, transformers are beginning to blow across the state due to the extreme heat and unrelenting demand for power.

The City of Anderson is warning citizens to expect random power outages!

Next, we'll start seeing water mains bursting. . .

It was physically 100 degrees in the plant I work in last night. Add in the 53% relative humidity and it is a formula for heat stroke. . .

100 degrees, that sound like the auto plant I worked at in the summer time.  The humidity was a lot higher due to all of the coolent they used in the machining process.  Any way you look at it isn't nice.  :gha:

99 degrees with 48% humidity this evening in this plant. Had to take an employee to the ER with heat related illness! YIKES!

What kind of a job do you have.  It sounds like a nonunion scab plant/sweat shop.  Most of the the hourly people had plenty of ventilation.  But the skilled trades who had to go into places where that didn't exist.  Like the basement of the heat treat under the furnaces.

One of the hardest thing to do in a hot plant is to stay cool.  If it is cold you can put an other layer of clothes.

I'd rather not say given the proliferation of nefarious minded individuals in cyber space.

But it is a non union facility that pays above union scale for skilled trades labor grades. And all of my guys are such.

We exercise extreme precautionary measures too. The employee is a 30 year man who has some age related health challenges. I just spoke to his wife and they are still there and the docs are running tests. . .

It was heat exhaustion, as I suspected.

I don't know how your plant is laid out.  You already might have what I'm going to suggest.  All of our of break room were air conditioned and kept really cool.  We had a lot of cold water fountains.  Naturally all of the supervision offices were air conditioned.  Also we had one section of the plant, the steering gear pump Assembly, that was air conditioned so all of the parts that went into the pump were the same temperature.

Every week it was mentioned to us, at the safety meetings, during hot weather, the symptoms of heat exhaustion, drink a lot of water and if you felt any symptoms go to the plant nurse immediately.  I don't remember any cases of heat exhaustion at our plant.

We had enough areas air conditioned that if you felt too hot you could get some fast relief.  That one thing about Indiana, we are soon going to start bitching how cold it is.

Yup, we are laid out very similarly. About the only difference is that at the start of every shift we have structured "tier meetings", one of which is for the hourly work force by department. Within those meetings those very same informative warnings surrounding hydration and heat exhaustion are provided. In fact, we even have huge tubs of iced water and coolers with gatoraid in every single department.
