I am not going to go to the library and get old books to scan into the computer just to be told I'm an idiot and the stuff on the internet is right and those books are wrong.  Ain't gonna happen.  If you go to the library and can even find older history books check it out for yourself.

And that debate, my dear, is exactly why those in political power create history books.

That whole problem is always debated in history courses that are usually available above the high school level.

Of course, anyone with any education above a high school level is a liberal, elitist snob, who cannot possibly be trusted, so the debate is over before it has begun.

Last I knew there are a lot of historical documents and books, information and such available on line through the Library of Congress. (Which by the way has every version of history on its shelves. . . even the wrong ones!) A lot of the major universities also have their own libraries available electronically, but then you have to know how to access them and some of them have restricted access, limiting it to only students and alumnus. . .

Of course, you can always go to your local library, but given the declining revenue streams most municipalities are experiencing, you had better call ahead to make sure they are open. 

Whatever you do, do not trust anything electronic! Only hard cover history books will do, and those must have been written well before the 16th century! (Try finding even one at the local library!)

I loved those debates, at first because I found them interesting, then because they ate up lecture time, but then I lost my interest and I wanted to puke after about the tenth time I endured one. . . Its like being in Ground Hog Day!
