According to a poll released yesterday, the majority of Americans now support it as well.

If the Supreme Court rules as unconstitutional forcing people to have health insurance, does tha mean they can't force us to buy car insurance either?

you don't HAVE to drive a car...

the latest Rasmussan Poll says "Most voters still favor repeal of the national care law"

Seriously; you don't have to drive a car?  How would you get to work then, Henry?  One could argue that you don't have to have health care either...if you don't have insurance and you get sick, we simply let you die.

Do you think car insurance premiums would go down if you weren't REQUIRED to carry Uninsured Motorist coverage? And that's apples to apples!

Those of us who pay for our health insurance are paying for the deadbeats who use the emergency room (free to them) as their primary care provider.

I CHOOSE to drive, because it makes it possible for me to work where I do.....therefore, I accept the rules to drive, that being, having insurance in case of an accident.

Being a responsible US Citizen, I choose to have health insurance.....in case my family may need it.  Olias, you are correct, that those of us who DO pay are also paying for those who do not choose to have it....
The problem needs to be addressed to those who cannot afford it....expand medicare or re-do it.  It would be easier to cover 45 million rather than forcing 325 million....it seems to me anyway.

And there are millions of YOUNG people who choose not to have health insurance even though they could afford it because they know the emergency room will provide free care. But it ain't free! You and I are paying for them. Just like we are paying higher auto insurance rates because of the Uninsured Motorist coverage.

And what do you think this legislation seeks to accomplish?

to force the average citizens to buy a product from a private company from cradle to grave.....

we could cut this problem down considerably by closing the borders and deporting all who are not here legally.  Fixing this economy would further aid this problem...... promote more competition between health insurance companies and the pharmaceutical companies.......introduce TORT reform to take the pressure away from Doctors making a mistake...and reform our Medicare system...there are many other solutions rather than GOV RAN HEALTHCARE, which is ultimatly the goal by the left.

Why do you say that?
If an uninsured motorist hits you and you are injured who pays for your injuries?

If someone gets sick and isn't insured do you pay for their doctor visit?
