You know as well as I do that it is used as an insult and it was meant as that. Try going up to a child and calling him/her a bastard in front of his/her parent and see what that gets you.

Anne their problem is if they can't figure out anything better to dispute a persons qualifications they go with the personal attack.  It's like a bunch of school kids on the playground doing the old and yer mom wears combat boots thing.  Have you noticed also that when you say something about someone who's a dem they say, "well, at least he/she doesn't profess to being a christian," which I guess is supposed to excuse their behavior?

  I don't consider Levi Johson qualified to be called a man let alone being qualified to be in any political office.  But then again that didn't stop Dan Burton from running and winning and probably win in November.  Because it seems that the Republicans don't mind have sperm donor daddies having bastard children as leaders.
