We have the same law here in Florida, and I'll bet if you checked the law there, it would be the same.  I think that's pretty much common among all the states.

When the law was put into effect in Florida and most other states we didn't have the influx of illegals we have now and those who were coming here were wanting to become citizens and not trying to change our customs and laws to suite them.

That is not true.  Undocumented immigrants in California can not get the same type of driver's license as citizens and legal residents and the same rules that prevent them from doing so will prevent them from being registered to vote as well.  But hey, feel free to keep your ignorance on full display by continuing to talk about something you clearly do not understand and are too lazy to research.
