You are not alone in that for sure.  Besides that if you break one you are supposed to go through all kinds of crap just to clean it up.

Yeah, they sure a deadly danger to the public health.  Like Radon gas that is suppose to be under every house.  They sure couldn't sell that one.  Being hurt by a light bulb?  You have a better chance of winning the lottery.

It's the mercury, remember, the stuff we used to break the thermometers for so we could roll it around on a piece of concrete. It is a wonder we all survived.

AMERICAN MIDDLE CLASS TAKEN FOR RIDE!

Carl Rove (Turd Blossom) political action group has raised millions of dollars for Republican candidates in the 2010 elections.

Do you know where he is getting it?  He has got over 90% of it from 4 billionaires.  Why?  One of the things the Republicans want to go if put into power is, to make the tax cuts for the top 3% on the super rich permanent.

Just think if it is made permanent these billionaires will will make millions and millions of dollars for it, the rest of their lives.  I guess for some greedy people, you can't have to much money.  The greedy bastards.  :knife:

On a cable talk show, John Raese, candidate for senate in West Virginia.  When ask about his money.  $3.5 million, he said he earned it the old fashion way, he inherited it.  And one of his political changes if elected, he would abolish the inheritance  tax.

What a fine man.  In a state where the median income is $37,528 a year and an unemployment rate of 9% his #1 thing to do is abolish the inheritance tax.  :knife: :wall:

Listening to the tortured howls of "progressives" over the magnificent successes of the great Tea Party is like ambrosia for the ears.

Having said that Teabaggers are NOT "Christians". You read the word of Jesus and you will quickly see that they do exactly the opposite of what He taught.

I don't know who's dumber, the Teabaggers or those who actually believe them when they hide behind Christianity.

Doc's a good Christian troll.  Language like that may toast his sensitive ears.

I consider the sourse and because I'm a good Christian I don't judge him for his seething hatred of a good man I pray for him.

According to some it's gospel though.  I would like to know what ever happened to compassion though.  It seems like lately there is none except for illegal immigrants and terrorists.  Hell, they don't even know the difference between being a christian and being religious which, to me anyway, are two entirely different things. But I guess that would be for the "other" thread.

I guess they've had it drummed into their heads that if you make fun of people, put them down, yell at them, and/or call them names enough times they'll finally give in to their way of thinking but I don't think it's gonna work that way this time like it did in the past.

America at large is very much ignorant of the teachings of Jesus Christ. And I think that their ignorance really is because they are in a state of denial as to what the scripture really says.

Essentially a misunderstanding of Jesus' teachings, or a deliberate twist of doctrine to suit socialist ideas?
The victims of poverty, sickness, and social alienation were indeed the object of Christ's affection. It is the methods which are misunderstood.

The idea that Christ wanted people to remain poor as some sort of requirement to enter heaven is repugnant. He rejected materialism only if the love of money interfered with seeking the Kingdom of Heaven, as is evidenced in this scripture as well as multitudes of others:

"Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you." If He taught that people should remain poor then why would He talk about the provision being "..added unto them"?

As for the suggestion that Jesus would love homosexuals of course He would. But there is a big misconception in this country which equates "acceptance" with love. We must not accept or tolerate homosexuality, any more than we should accept any other aberrant sexual behavior.

Most Americans are fairly conversant with the dishonesty of plagiarism, though. Please credit the Washington Post when you quote from it. Although I doubt anyone would believe the grammar and spelling of the last post came from the mind of Doc.

The hypocrisy of moralizing about character juxtaposed with the blatant display of plagiarism would never occur to doc.

They again, it rarely occurs within the spinning mindset of most holier-than-thou xtians.

Not surprising. Stupid is as stupid does.

That's because it doesn't matter to them as long as there's "some truth to it". The end justifies the means kinda thinking.

Well, now that Doc has spilled his venom.  I wonder how long it will take for him to return from his cave on and in the high mountain.  Good luck on your trip.

Reading about the Small Business Jobs Act (signed today) I ran across this snippet:

...a Democratic bill that would give companies tax incentives to keep jobs at home rather than outsource them abroad stands little chance of getting a Senate vote because of a Republican filibuster.

Now, would one of our resident apologists like to take a stab at explaining how the filibuster is actually good  for unemployed Americans?

In the game of life, how would you like for the Republican Party to deal you a hand like this.  :witch: :witch: :witch: :witch:  Palin, Bachman, Engle and O'Donnell.  Four of a kind, sure looks like a winning hand to me.  :rotfl:

I provided the source. You didn't even have to open it, the link says "aolnews/money" real clearly. The author is Joseph Schuman, who left a position as a writer and editor for the Wall Street Journal and the Associated Press to accept the position with AOL.

Now that you can't bash the source, ya wanna try to defend the statement?
