WHO pays the salary for those gov jobs?.....That money HAS to come from the private sector.....it is common logic that if that becomes TOO one sided (more gov jobs than private jobs), we have got REAL problems.....THAT is NOT the way our Country was designed....I don't think it was OUR forefathers intent, to build a nation where the Government took care of everyone from cradle to grave....I think that kind of tarnishes the whole "LIBERTY" thingy....

And the private sector benefits greatly from those government jobs. People who have government jobs buy houses, food, cars, furniture, appliances, etc., etc., etc......

And people with government jobs pay taxes too.

Thomas Jefferson would disagree with you.

"The earth belongs always to the living generation," Jefferson wrote to James Madison, pondering the forces behind the French Revolution. "Every constitution, then, and every law, naturally expires at the end of 19 years. If it be enforced longer, it is an act of force and not of right."

Liberty, hell, I glad someone is producing jobs for Americans.  With the Predatory Capitalist Republican Corporations, the only jobs they are producing is for China and the other countries in the world.  Not a job for an American.  Just like the 1800 Maytag jobs that just left America for Mexico.  Or the jobs we are losing 1600 jobs in Wisconsin.  The jobs we lost in Connerville, Bloomington, Wabash and so many, many, many jobs that are being outsourced for PROFIT, NOT QUALITY OR QUANITY.  Just pure greed.

Another thing that pisses me off.  We invent something here in America.  We develop here in America.  The company takes the cost of the new product of their American taxes.  Then the send it overseas to be produced and brought back into this country to sell at the highest price they can charge.  And you call that LIBERTY.  I call that :bs:

While the Tea Party, talking heads, and Republican propagandists continue to force feed their sheep the tripe that the current economic crises is to be blamed upon those who purchased homes they could not afford, calling them losers and inferring that their job loss and resulting inability to pay their mortgages is somehow their fault, data published today in the New York Times suggests something far more insidious is at work here.

According to CoreLogic, a company that provides business analysis to industry, 1 in every 7 of the homes in this nation carrying a mortgage of 1 million dollars or more, currently is in default and the owners are walking away from them. . .

Compare the rate of homes carrying mortgages of less than 1 million dollars and the rate drops to 1 in 12!

Now who is screwing the pooch in reality?

You hear all this hogwash from the very same entities surrounding the tax rates of the US being to blame for the slowing of our economy, but the reality is that of the top 30 developing nations in the world, (with number 1 being the highest), the United States ranks 26th! (Source OECD) http://moneycentral.msn.com/content/taxes/p148855.asp

Then they jump onto the backs of hispanics in this country in order to stir up emotional responses and give the sheep a target to blame and hate; just like they have done since the start of this nation. At various times throughout our history the Irish, Italians, Jewish, Koreans, Japanese, etc. have all had the very same blame heaped upon their shoulders for "stealing American jobs" during poor economic times. . .

And still we keep sucking it up like it was your life blood these idiots are baiting you with. . . Unbelievable!

Those folks we were hating back in the day are now our ancestors. . .

Then what's yer point?

I can't stand it. (Sorry, PH.) Here me, go plug in the year of your choice.

But just to make sure ya don't fudge it, I already did. The only difference in tax rates between 2005 and 2010 is that you can earn from 2K to 50K MORE in 2010 before getting bumped to the next higher bracket.

What's yours? You're the one who made the big deal about PH's source listing 2005 rates, instead of 2010. The only difference between 2005 and 2010 is the amount of money you can make before your rate goes up. I was addressing your statement. Now, if you want to change the subject, you are first required to concede active one.

Where did you learn rules of debate?  Maybe I mean "Did you ever learn the rules of debate?" Because that Straw Man tactic you are so fond of is getting really old, not to mention the fact that it never works among people who read stuff other than comic books.

And we're still under Bush's tax breaks.  Soooooooo what's yer point?

They expire only because republicans are the party of no and obstructionist politics. . .

Quote. . .President Barack Obama wants Congress to extend the lower tax rates for individuals earning less than $200,000 a year and families making less than $250,000 annually.
But under his plan, those individuals making more than $200,000 a year and families above $250,000 would pay higher taxes on income, capital gains and dividends.
By contrast, congressional Republicans are pressing to extend all the tax cuts for everyone. They insist it is folly to raise anyone's taxes as the economy struggles to recover from last year's crippling recession. They contend that taking money from anybody will hinder private investment, which will slow economic growth.. . .

http://www.springfieldnewssun.com/news/nation-world-news/will-you-pay-more-when-bush-tax-cuts-expire--646402.html

Quote. . .To comply with Senate budgetary rules, the tax cuts were enacted as 10-year temporary laws. President Obama campaigned against the Bush tax cuts vehemently during 2008, but did not attempt to hasten their expiration once he took office, citing the recession. . . .

http://www.taxfoundation.org/research/topic/171.html

And the party of no continues its assault on the poor and middle-income individuals and families, with its consistent stepping and fetching for the rich. . . And if that so called theory of theirs surrounding tax cuts for the rich is so true, how come this country has been bleeding manufacturing jobs for so many years??? And why are the rich walking away from their million dollar+ homes and mortgages at a higher rate than us poor folks?  Bunch of horse manure!
