SIOW . . . those cross hairs and the message of hate and instructions to "reload, etc" had nothing what so ever to do with what happened in AZ eh?

And I STILL am waiting for the PROOF that this guy was a communist and / or a liberal. That is just outright bullshit and you know it!

I find it more than ironic to see how quickly the "personal responsibility crowd" is running from their possible contributions toward this tragedy. . .

They share zero blame.....not ONE person said that someone should "shoot" anyone.  Any logical thinking person knows this...what about Obama telling democrats to bring a gun to the fight, if republicans bring a knife?  If a republican was shot, would he be responsible?    NO! of course not.

btw, I said "great point"  not "excellent point"... ;D

It's amazing how when the Republicans took over the House all of the stupid and bad things started happening.

This is bad, Arizona massacre, but just wait, you ain't seen nothing yet out of these Republican idiots.  The tan man and old turtle head.

at this time all we have to go on is assumptions that the media is releasing.....

In his profile on YouTube, he said that he's an avid reader and included in a long list of favorite books "Animal Farm," "Brave New World," "The Communist Manifesto," and "Mein Kampf.".....a friend of his said that in his opinion he was a liberal pot smoker....

I'm not claiming any of this as fact...I am getting info as it is being released.

Palehorse maybe he is a Sarah Palin junkie, and reacted to her "chart".....I don't believe this to be true, under NO facts presented, but for "kicks" lets say this was true.....it has ZERO impact on anyone but this creep himself!....finding blame on others is outrageous.

This guy IS, a known NUTJOB....there is nothing MORE to this story other than that....

What I find SO disappointing is how quick the liberals were in trying to make this something that it clearly is not!

but one thing is clear it had NOTHING  to do with cross hairs That is just outright bullshit and you know it!  at least I hope you do..

I've read those books myself, and a lot more. You don't see me promoting a communistic dictatorship do you?

The fact is, and has always been, that many, (and not just me or troll or Sandy or anyone else you want to name), have been saying right out of the gate that the hate messages and fear mongering rhetoric being utilized by the likes of the tea party and the far right, is going to drive people on the emotional edge and within the shadows of society to do something exactly like what happened in Arizona. And the saddest part of it all is the fact we were correct, and now the right is busy spinning this horrendous incident into something that will allow them to continue. . .

This will not be the last of incidents like this if the right and tea party do not tone it way the hell down and in a real hurry!

The fact is that posting that congresswoman's likeness on a website with a crosshair superimposed over it is libelous and I don't care how you want to look at it. Especially since some whacknut took it upon himself to do exactly what that photograph insinuates needs to be done!

The fact that this guy is off kilter and perhaps possesses some severe emotional issues has never been in question. I would speculate that there is a rather large percentage of the population in this world that have similar issues, and that sir is a REAL and PROVEN fact. (Just look at the annual sales for drugs to help people deal with these issues like Prozac, and anti depressants, etc. if you don't believe me). And every single one of those individuals is proportionately inclined to undertake some unacceptable to society initiative just like the one that just happened. And that's if they DO NOT read that fear mongering propaganda and messages of hate the right is spreading over the internet and through the media like a herd of cattle with diarrhea! Once you put that into the mix its 100 times worse.

Political messages like those that have been spread about by the tea party and the right are intended to evoke emotional responses from the general public and make them angry; so angry that they forget to fact check and utilize critical thinking skills to properly filter them. In the emotionally disturbed it is akin to pouring gasoline on a fire. Why do you think they were so quick to take those images down once the word got out about what happened in Arizona? Why do you think Faux News was so quick to pull the plug on an individual they wanted to speak on the air about their feelings? Because they know damned good and well that what happened has a very strong likelihood of having been incited by their propaganda. Propaganda that never should have been utilized in the first place, and never would be utilized by a responsible and compassionate individual or entity.

What do YOU think someone would be attempting to relate by posting a picture of you with crosshairs superimposed across your head?

It is and was unacceptable and libelous and I hope that the congresswoman and her family sue the living hell out of those responsible for the proliferation of such horrendous messages and tactics.

Now, surrounding the fact that some people who may or may not have know the perp have got some air time and said some things about him that are their opinions, that is hearsay. I'd venture to say that if anyone on this forum had occasion to do the same on the subject of this poster, the opinions on me would be similar if not worse in some cases. The difference is that I am not about to go out and do anything even remotely like what this guy has done, but the opinions of others on this forum would be in most cases, 180 degrees from that which is the reality.

As for my own opinion on the case in question here, there are a vast number of law enforcement entities investigating from that exact angle right now, among others. And they are doing so because it is the prudent and obvious theory that needs to be investigated and proven or disproven. THAT is the whole point to investigation; most of them start with theories and the investigation provides the proof that either supports or denies it. And since this guy is NOT talking to anyone, it will be the investigative evidence that points to his motive. And my guess is that once a forensic scientist gets done going through his hard drive, a LOT of evidence is going to be forthcoming surrounding his motivations and purpose behind what he has done.

You know it as well as everyone else, and the reason there are so many of you pointing fingers at liberals and communists is to construct a smokescreen to allow you to obscure the facts. You fear that the theory of this guy getting emotionally out of whack due to the fear mongering and visual messages of ill intent are going to be proven to be a key driver behind his actions. And THAT proves that you knew it was wrong all along and were in a state of denial surrounding the potential ramifications of said actions. . .

And like the saying goes, "where there's smoke, there's fire"!

And it appears that finally some members of congress are recognizing the negative impacts of their words:

. . .Dupnik suggested Saturday night that "vitriolic rhetoric" in political debates could have deadly consequences.
"When you look at unbalanced people, how they respond to the vitriol that comes out of certain mouths about tearing down the government, the anger, the hatred, the bigotry that goes on in this county is getting to be outrageous. Unfortunately, Arizona, I think, has become sort of the capital," he said. "We have become the mecca for prejudice and bigotry.". . .

. . .Rep. Robert Brady, D-Pennsylvania, said he will introduce legislation making it a federal crime for a person to use language or symbols that could be perceived as threatening or inciting violence against a member of Congress or a federal official.. . .
