Spin baby spin! I know what the man said because I watched it live. I know what he meant. And he was 110% correct!

no spin......he is in deep do-do with the hard core libs, and he can no longer play the games he played the last two years saying the republicans is the party of "no"........now it seems the dems may take that title............

was he lying to Americans saying it was a good deal?  He can't have it both ways PH....it is either GOOD for Americans or it is BAD for Americans......

THAT is taking his statement out of context for the singular purpose of spinning and you know it. And if you don't know it you have not seen nor listened to the entire statement.

The republicans are the absolute party of "NO", and that is without any doubt. 2 years of "no" proves it. Now they'll go home and dance their little victory dances, and chomp at the bit for the inauguration of the reinforcements the brainwashed citizens have sent them. After that it will be nothing but pork and corporate pandering for the next 2 years, and the republicans will squall when the democrats begin using the very same tactics that republicans themselves used and taught them over the last two years.

Bullshit is all it will be. More of the same while we slowly lose what has made this country great. . .

And I am NOT a troll!

Henry Hawk, it ought Henry the Judas goat.  The goat that leads the sheeple to their slaughter.  I never heard such bullshit come out of one half bright person.  The man is totally brain dead. :wall:

Giving the super rich a $700 Billion tax cut is going to put the country in deeper debt.  The tax cut for the rich never produced one job and this bullshit extension isn't going to produce one job.  Well, it might make some jobs in the airplane and cabin cruiser business.  But building that plane or boat is just like building a house.  Once is built the job is over.

All I can say and I mean it from the bottom of my heart.  Henry and the Republican Party sucks and evil.  They proved that by putting our country in danger to help the super rich.  No doubt about it.

Troll, I didn't hear crying when the democrats spent $862 billion on a stimulus, and it did NOTHING....as mater of fact we may even be worse off....Now, we are merely keeping things as the were, but will now produce an incentive for these small business' to return to spending and growing and hiring....

I will place my bets on the Private sector spending THEIR money over the Government spending other peoples money anyday ....

Tho you won't admit it and you definitely can't wrap your little bitty mind around it.  That stimulus keep us from going into another Herbert Hoover depression.  Which everybody know was caused by Ronald Reagan, George H W, George W. and the Republican Party.

You better pray to your God that Ben Bernenke is wrong.  He says that things are going to get worse.  Face the facts your Republicans Super Rich just let to many jobs go overseas to satisfy their greed.  Also how stupid were the Republicans who negotiated the trade treaties.  Just plan stupid.

I hope that the American will see the Republican Party for what is.  The Rich mans party and the corporations party and never let them get back in again.

According to Obama and the democrats it was intended to keep the unemployment rate from exceeding 8 percent.....we now know for a fact it did not work as they promised.

According to a White House survey, businesses have used much of the $200 billion in stimulus dollars distributed thus far to hire or retain 640,000 workers. These figures have been ridiculed for their absurdity, such as reporting $6.4 billion spent in congressional districts that do not exist, and the survey's assertion that a single lawnmower purchase in Arkansas saved or created 50 jobs.[17]

Setting aside these inaccuracies, this jobs figure is not surprising. Businesses that receive large government grants would be expected to expand and hire more workers. However, this ignores half of the equation. If injecting $200 billion into the economy supports 640,000 jobs, how many jobs were first lost by borrowing that $200 billion from the economy?
The White House says zero. The White House job numbers assume that all $200 billion is new and supports jobs that would not otherwise exist. But that could be true only if the private sector would have otherwise hoarded the entire $200 billion in safes and mattresses, where it could not be consumed, invested, or deposited in banks for investment spending--but instead turned the entire $200 billion over to the government.

When dollars are transferred from one part of the economy to another, jobs will transfer accordingly. The White House's single-entry bookkeeping ignores the part of the economy that financed all these jobs. Not surprisingly, the nation's overall unemployment rate has continued to rise.

The U.S. economy has proved resilient enough to eventually overcome even the most misguided economic policies of the past. Yet it would be fallacious to credit the stimulus bill for any economic recovery that inevitably occurs in the future. According to Keynesian theory, a $1.4 trillion budget deficit should have immediately overheated the economy. According to the White House, the stimulus should have created 3.3 million net jobs. Instead, the economy remained in recession and 3.5 million more net jobs were lost. By every reasonable standard, the stimulus failed.

You said the stimulus did nothing and that is a lie.

Okay, I was being let's say, over dramatic....I have picked up that bad habit from being on here too long....and arguing with some very dramatic individuals...

but, it has not even come close to what was promised to us by the democrats...

Well, as the democrats are going to find out here real soon, "forecasting" is not a precise undertaking. Despite anyone's best effort(s) forecasts are not met each and every damned day in this country.

Where are those promises listed?  All I remember them having said was that it was necessary to prevent a catastrophic economic meltdown which I'm pretty sure it did.
