He's a big 'un.  What's he weigh now?

I try to keep my dogs trim and athletic so his working weight is typically right around 80 lbs.  How've you been?

I can't do that because I don't trust people I don't know to handle my dog.  Nothing against them but I'm guessing that on a scale of one to ten, the average Petco or PetSmart groomer's understanding of dog behavior is about a -5 and I really don't need them f'ing up my pup.  I can only imagine how one of them would have reacted to the drier incident but it probably would not have been pretty.  Me, I'm looking at him and thinking, "that's a really nice dog."   

  I always took my dog into the shower with me.  We would both get wet in a nice warm shower.  Oh, how he love to be dried with a big fluffy towel.  I could tell when he thought he was dry enough by starting to attacking the towel in a tug of war.     One good dawg.     RIP Ruff.

He's so beautiful

I was out for a run the other morning and a man had two on a lead. Other dogs will glance at me as I run by or even get excited like they wanna run too, but not these boys. I think I saw a sideways glance, but zero reaction.  I try to keep an even pace and run at enough of a distance away so that dogs can see me and not feel threatened but this trail is hilly and curvy and sometimes they're "just there".
