In a hearing on August 20, government officials pointed to Raub's Facebook posts as the sole reason for their concern and for his continued incarceration. Ignoring Raub's explanations about the fact that the Facebook posts were being read out of context, Raub was sentenced to up to 30 days' further confinement in a psychiatric ward. While in the psych ward, Raub reported being interrogated by medical staff about his views about the government and threatened by a doctor with brainwashing. Raub's legal team, provided by The Rutherford Institute, immediately began petitioning the courts for his release.

On August 23, Circuit Court Judge Allan Sharrett declared the government's case to be lacking in factual allegations and ordered Raub immediately released. However, for the tens of thousands of individuals detained—wrongfully or otherwise—under civil commitment laws every year, regaining their freedom is nearly impossible, predicated as it is on a bureaucratic legal and judicial system.

  Yep, Obama's presidency is over, after the next two years.     But Obama can lead and has lead, but the constincent drum beat from the out of office Republicans slamming him on everything every day after day.  Saying no on everything with pure hatered slimming off their tongues, it's no wonder that his numbers has dropped in the poles among the dumb ass Christian morons.

  Just tell me Hawk what has the Republicans done to help him run this country?  NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING AND MORE NOTHING.      Or maybe Hawk, what has the Republicans done, do you know?   

  And just who in hell is Chuck Todd, as of about two years ago he was a news reader on Washington Journal on C-SPAN without his stupid beard.     Yes, the beard didn't make him smarter.

All federal employees and federal contractors are required by law to preserve records containing adequate and proper documentation of the organization, functions, policies, decisions, procedures, and essential transactions of the agency. Records must be properly stored and preserved, available for retrieval and subject to appropriate approved disposition schedules.

The Federal Records Act applies to email records just as it does to records you create using other media. Emails are records when they are:

Created or received in the transaction of agency business

Appropriate for preservation as evidence of the government's function and activities, or

Valuable because of the information they contain

If you create or receive email messages during the course of your daily work, you are responsible for ensuring that you manage them properly. The Treasury Department's current email policy requires emails and attachments that meet the definition of a federal record be added to the organization's files by printing them (including the essential transmission data) and filing them with related paper records. If transmission and receipt data are not printed by the email system, annotate the paper copy. Does anybody else on this board have any experience with working with the government?

I do. And you would be shocked at just how backward and archaic many government IT departments are. No backups. No email archiving. Systems that are woefully short on power and storage. So short on storage that old data is routinely wiped just to keep systems functioning.

I see it every single day.
