Seriously, I think the benefit most people who go to church regularly get from church is more practical and social than religious.

  Back before radio and television in the home, church was the only entertainment there was.  A person could catch up on what was going on in the community.   The weddings, new babies, meeting new girls and boys to date and marry, the dinners and all the things a large family would do. :smile:

  I know from what my grandmother told me, that church was the only form of entertainment that the farmers in Ohio could afford during the great Republican depression.  :yes:
