PH, I disagree.  I think I like the Colts situation much better this way.  The have scrapped and clawed their way most of this season.  I think the defense is playing very solid, and the offense is getting better, and this fighting attitude is something they have not had to do in past seasons.  I don't think they will win the AFC Championship because of the Patriots,  but then again, I think anything is possible during post season.

GO COLTS...AND I am pumped up for my Bears too.

I didn't see anything today that would instill confidence in their beating the Jets. In fact, it just bolsters my opinion that the Colts will end up getting spanked by the Jets.

They barely beat the next to worst team in their division today, and they were damned lucky that the Titans fumbled the ball back to them in the waining minutes of the 4th quarter, AFTER the Colts (Rhodes) fumbled to them within field goal range!

85 dropped more passes than he caught again today, and had he caught them the end result may have been more convincing. But he didn't. . . and it wasn't. The Colts offensive line could not keep the Titans out of the backfield, and Manning was under intense pressure every single play of the game.

The Jets on the other hand, are far more of a threat on offense and defense, than the Titans are. Which means that there will be even more penetration into the Colts backfield against the Jets.

One and out. . . watch. . .

Former Colts quarterback Jim Harbaugh's next stop is San Francisco.

The Stanford head coach will turn pro again and join the 49ers, the AP, NFL.com and ESPN reported. The 49ers scheduled a news conference for today at 6:30 p.m. ET.

So, the real key to Harbaugh's future success with the 9 ers, is going to be the QB position I am thinking. Yeah, they need some good offense and defense coordinators, but in my honest opinion they'll need the QB first. I was thinking that Luck would follow Harbaugh. but since he has declared he will stay at Stanford for his senior year, I expect that the 9'ers will get someone to get them through the next 2-3 seasons, and in the meantime do their best to obtain a draft pick high enough in next years draft to snag Luck. But the question is who will that be??

McNabb comes to mind. After his dismal season with the Skins, and the team telling him he can stay as a backup, I believe that where ever McNabb ends up he's going to be on fire next year. He has something to prove now and he will do so next year. He'd also make a good mentor for Luck once they draft him next year.

The Eagles are more than likely going to try to keep Vick, but the 49ers would be wise to give him due consideration. Vick's star is on the rise, as are his skills. He is mobile and a QB that makes things happen, and he has a LOT to prove to the fans and the NFL; all huge motivators to do well. The Eagles are only going to give him another 1 year contract, and the 49ers could easily lure him to the west coast with a multi-year deal.

Vick would provide leadership, and with Luck as his understudy the 49ers would place themselves in the catbirds seat surrounding longevity and future success in the QB position. Just as they are securing the same in the head coaching position with the hiring of Harbaugh. Yes, Vick is a gamble but he is proving in each and every game that he is a viable risk worth gambling upon.

The 49ers could turn themselves around and transform from a used to be, bunch of also played twits, to a force to be reckoned with within the span of a season or two. But first they have to make the right choices in order to do so.

Wouldn't ya think NBC could find an announcer who didn't have slipping false teeth and can pronounce an "s" without the shower?
