Haven't been there for years.  We used to go with friends and camp on the primitive side and when the guy's went out on the boat us women would walk over to the other side and rent paddle boats for both us and the kids and have a ball.  Then we'd walk back and fix supper and have our usual campfire.

Now it's nap time.....  Is this where I leave my wake up call?

You brought back some good memories.  Back when we didn't have hardly to nickles to rub together.  We would go the state park and camp in the primitive area.  We would just laugh at the people to would bring in their big trailers, like I have now and say, "Boy do they call that camping? Hell they brought the whole house."

If you remember the big drop off going down into the lake, where the had the rope you could swing out over the water.  My boy's first time, he didn't let go of the rope while over the water but over the the dirt clift.  If you remember, that's quite a drop.  It didn't stop him from doing it again.

We would pitch our tent as close to the water as we could and I had an old beat up deck boat and we would beach it right there and go fishing.  It wasn't powerful enough to pull skiers.  Such good time.  If you were like us we drank some beer around the campfire and had some good food.

It's always darkest before the dawn.  So if you're going to steal your neighbor's newspaper, that's the time to do it.
