I think you're projecting your lack of respect onto the entire country.

Like I said, I don't care if the mouth-breathers' kids see it or not.  In fact, I hope they don't and they never get the message or a good education so there are plenty of them around to pump my kids' gas!
Now that's just silly, the President giving a speech encouraging education isn't going to be the only motivating factor for the students.  It's just one of a hundred encouragement speeches they are going to hear over the years from a multitude of people.
Looks like I've come full circle.

But that's not what your fear is.  You ARE afraid that he will be giving a speech on political issues.  You've already said that in a previous post.

I will add that as of right now, 13 isn't aware that this speech will be shown on Tuesday, here it is Friday, and I've not seen any paperwork that I need to sign in order for her to see the broadcast.  I'm wondering where my parental choice is?   Not that I'm going to prevent her from seeing it, I just wonder if it's actually being shown in every school?

I have NO fear what-so-ever, as far as MY kid seeing ANYTHING that the POTUS has to say.....I am like you, I think there should be a consent form issued first....this IS a parental choice...NOT a POTUS choice.

Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

LMAO...so do you also think parents should choose the curriculum in schools?

Don, this is NOT a racial thing...

I'm calling bullshit here.  No other politician in the history of this country has spurred such visceral, irrational hatred.  It is absolutely racial.

This whole mess is just so damned ridiculous.

It's has really reached a low state of affairs when the nuts attack the president over something like this.

Absolutely.  Even Joe Scarborough called them out on it when he said, "Seriously, why don't we want the president of the United States, any president of the United States, delivering the message to kids: work hard, stay in school, succeed," adding, "Get your ratings if you want, you're just screwing your political party."

Do you screen ALL SPEAKERS at your kid's school?

If not, you don't have a dog in this fight.

And if he shows up at your kids' school and walks into the classroom, you'd instruct your child to walk out?  You're a helluva parent.

Just because you aren't bright enough to understand why you are being manipulated the way you are, doesn't mean it isn't happening.
