i bought this corn last week and found it in the fridge this a.m.when re-arranging. It is the first corn we have bought this summer and was soooooo sweet.

mcgonser

Thats my story and I'm sticking to it!

Freethinker

Is that genetically-altered corn? The rows aren't straight.  ;D

mageepet

LOL that is what real corn looks like!  Hard to tell if you leave it in the microwave all the time though!

Magee, I would say that me & the Mr have gone thru countless numbers of fresh corn this year.  It's a staple on our grill.  Your corn looks yummy even tho it does look a little corny  :groan:

Is everyone ready to rumble with the storms again this evening? We've got some nasty stuff rolling in here... Be nice if it would rain.

mageepet

I think we are getting ready to get clobbered, too.  Temperature is falling outside and the wind has died completely.  Sky doesn't look good.  I think the humidity is about a zillion percent.  Sirens blew five miles north of here last night.
Everyone hang on!
McGonser, I think due to recent developments in other areas you inhabit you will be eating with us again, a little more. LOL

mageepet

large tornado on ground near belpre ks.  that is just west of macksville and nothr of north of greensburg.  tornado is moving east.  going to be a rough evenng I believe.

mcgonser

tornado at elizabeth town?, near Denver. No reported injuries. It looks spooky outside doesn't it?
Thats my story and I'm sticking to it!

Fell off their brooms didn't they and burned at the stake by a horde of angry citizens!

Dogs are really upset tonite, barking at every rumble of thunder.  They are not usually such big babies.

The first batch of ugliness went around us... sun came back out... Hopefully the next batch will go around us as well. I hate this time of year.

The husband made me go down in the cellar last night, and try to get over my claustrophia in case we end up having to stay down there for a while.

I really don't mind cellars so much... It's just those little narrow excuses for steps they install in them... Think I'd be better off if we'd just put a slide to sit down on and whoosh down there. We for sure need a slide to get the dogs down there. They are goosier than me about those steep, narrow steps.

Got a card table and chairs down there with dominoes, too...

Okay, we are pretty much past the worst of it now.  Still raining, but lightly. We had 2 inches of rain in 30 minutes, 80-90 mph winds, straightline.  Hutchinson evidently got whacked pretty good, 4 semi's overturned, 500 people without power, numerous trees down, emergency mgmt askign people to stay in houses there.
I was out a bit ago and didn't see any tree damage close but it is getting dark.
Sirens are wailing on emergency vehicles apparently going north, don't know if it is north part of town or north of town.
City public works is just down the block form here, and guys are showing up there.  I don't know if they are addressing power problems or putting out flooding signs in town and blocking off flooded streets.
WE are okay though, a little soggy but fine.

We didn't get nothing but a sprinkle.... We did see the 2nd bunch of clouds from a distance. They were really boiling and piling high.

WW might suck but so do they!   We had more rain after midnite bringing the storm total to like 3.5 inches.  We had a lot of rain after midnite.  Sis's surgery is done and she is doing well. No cancer found in the biopsy, so they moved on and did surgery as planned.
Baby Jailie is still hanging in there and her momma is being released from the hospital today.  She will be spending the night here with her mom and then going back to Wichita to be closer to the baby.

I was looking over at the myobIII and it seems Irene has trashed that post, too.
