. . .but attracting  aged washed-up hippies who managed to make it through the '60's and '70's without dying from overdoses....some obviously naive and impressionable college kids, some heavily-tattooed Greenwich Village thugs, some anarchists, . . .

Humm. . . all of those have been utilized as descriptors for the late Steve Jobs; anarchist, hippie, etc. who admittedly took time to travel and experiment with psychedelic drugs. All of which he personally credited as being major reasons why he was so successful in seeing things others could not.

A guy you just a few posts back stated you had a lot of respect for.

As I stated, those where the very words of a friend of mine who lives out there and witnessed this crowd.

Steve Jobs was an extremely rare species that was in a league all on his own.  So what is your point? It does not tarnish the point of my statement.

That your friend's words are hypocritical, especially when your perspectives are folded in with them.

That statement is a blanket statement of opinion, based upon stereotyping and personal perceptions.

Moreover, one could extend those very same terms toward the tea party attendees!

Only becaus of the P O S in the white house stirring up the pot............he is trying to create his own "tea party".............he is doing nothing but attracting  aged washed-up hippies who managed to make it through the '60's and '70's without dying from overdoses....some obviously naive and impressionable college kids, some heavily-tattooed Greenwich Village thugs, some anarchists, some misinformed and ignorant blacks and Hispanics who had been bussed in from the ghettos and barrios, and few fat-and-sloppy-looking "hard hats" and other blue-collar workers who are members of socialistic labor unions, and dudes cruising around trying to pick up chicks or other dudes.

all of this is directly from a friend of mine who lives there and witnessed these guys........those are his words directly and he is a black man that lives just a few miles away.

Not that I believe a word of this "friend" bullshit...nice touch making him a black man though...but the protestors are against the government's collusion with corporate America...both the Dems and the Repubs.  Do you honestly not see the problem with the government working in the best interests of corporations rather than the citizens?

The Supreme Court didn't in that horrible decision last term.  Why would HH be expected to see it?

Steve Jobs DEAD!

Yes, Steve Jobs is dead.  A genius, a brain, a nice man to some, a husband, a father, a billionaire.

But he was part of the computer revolution that destroyed millions of jobs.  But to me what is worse is, he made all of his money in America, he lived in America.  But were did he produce all of his inventions, all of his products.  Over Seas by other people at slave wages.  Who made all of the money from his genius, it was Steve Jobs, his company but no Americans.  :4th4:

Dennis Ritchie.   DEAD!

The father of the C programming language and a more robust Unix operating system, he was a pioneer of computer science.  Much of my IT knowledge is based on his trailblazing.  I develop iPhone apps which are written in Objective C.  I've ported those apps to Android which is Java based.  Java has its roots in C.  Web servers all around the world that power the Internet are running Unix, including those data centers at Google and Amazon.  Android and iOS as well as Mac OS/X are descendants of C.  Such a pioneer.

This man has had an effect on everyone that uses a personal device, to their use of the Internet, to operating systems, etc.   RIP Mr. Ritchie.  I owe my career to your vision.

I saw the video of that crash.

Sad part is that Wheldon was down at the bottom and in position to avoid the carnage, when another car came down and put him airborne. . . He then hit the wall/fence and exploded in a ball of fire. . .

Here's an AP photo of Weldon (front left in photo), mid crash:
