I'm sorry, but this thread reminds me ...

I forgot about that one...that was great... ;D

With the title of this thread, I thought this might be the best place for this story.

LOS ANGELES - Farrah Fawcett, who is struggling to overcome cancer, is in the hospital and not doing well, a source close to the actress has confirmed to Access Hollywood.

Although her condition is deteriorating, it is likely Fawcett will leave the hospital Monday, the source added.

In addition, Fawcett's longtime companion, Ryan O'Neal, is working to get the couple's 24-year-old son, Redmond O'Neal, out of a Los Angeles jail so he can visit his ailing mother for what may be one final time.

The news of Fawcett's condition comes on the heels of Ryan O'Neal's revelation that he plans to marry Fawcett.

The 68-year-old actor says in an interview with Barbara Walters for ABC's "20/20" that he asked his longtime companion to marry him and "she's agreed." O'Neal says they will tie the knot "as soon as she can say yes."

Walters' interview with O'Neal airs Friday.

Fawcett was diagnosed in 2006 with anal cancer that has spread to her liver.

O'Neal says the 62-year-old actress is "fighting for her life," but despite her declining health, they will "absolutely" get married.

I can't help but believe there's an angle in this for RO somewhere. He's kind of dropped off the map since his little stint with the "Bones" TV series. . . I've never held a lot of trust in this guy. He always struck me as a bit of a weasel. . .

He'll be boo-fuggen-hooing it for the cameras when she starts the long dirt nap, but I'm betting the tears are glycerin. . . I mean, come on he's been her companion for how long and they never got hitched. . . Why?

I know a lot of people lose faith or value in the whole marriage thing after some bad experiences, but somehow I don't see that being his "thing". . .  He's working some kind of scheme I'm telling yah. . .

I don't know what his motives may be, but I did ask that same question when I read the article.  They've been together for YEARS and have never gotten married.  So why now? Could be some sort of deathbed request she made or conversation they had.

well if he has been suffering from committment-phobia, saying til death do us part at this point ain't such a leap of faith.

Other than the fact that Johnny Carson is also dead, this is a bit off topic.  However, when looking at the above video, this one also came up.  This is a clip of Johnny Carson and Bette Midler falling into an impromptu duet.  This clip is well worth less than two minutes of your time.  Johnny made the Tonight Show, and it hasn't been the same without him.
