Which part of 'we have no authority to demand anything from N.Korea' don't you get?  In tha absence of said authority, using incentives is not only reasonable but warranted.

While the International Atomic Energy Agency does operate under a UN charter and reports its findings to the UN, it is a separate and independent entity.

after 9/11, we could NO-LONGER simply TRUST nations who had ties to terrorism...and he WAS linked by defectors to international terrorist activities, including the 1986 bombing of a Korean Airlines jet in which 115 people died...the only thing we and the UN, btw, demanded was that he quit any nuclear proliferations programs..

Well, lets put it this way.  He professes to know all about a person and judges it on whether they agree with his opinions or not which is just plain wrong and I would say in most cases he is just as wrong as he is here.  You can agree with him all you want but that still won't make him right. We have never dissed you or your education for disagreeing with our opinion so just continue on as you are and feel smug and smart thinking you know it all.  How can you expect someone to listen to you if you won't listen to them?  Putting someone down is not a way to prove a point or get anyone's attention it only means you have nothing of real substance to counter with.
