"Scamnum" sounds like one of the ingredients in potted meat.

I am not for sure Rush is Republican or Libertarian, conservative. The Republican party use to be conservative too, but has been evolving into something different. Not for sure what.
Thats my story and I'm sticking to it!

Mcgonser, you are right.  Many so-called Republicans are actually Rino's (Republican in name only).  Many of them have very few, if any, conservative principles.  If the republicans do not get back to standing for conservative principles they will continue losing elections and they should.

They will lose not only elections but members too. I have seriously considered going independent or libertarian.

I am registered as an independent but my views lean heavily toward libertarian.
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

I had a dream: Bear with me. We had the American party only where anyone could run. No conventions no party lines, no one you owe your loyalty too after the election except the American People. More of a grass roots campaign according to the money you could raise from the taxpayer, there is no political party to back you so you are on your own. Then the major networks would have the candidates on and introduce them to us and let us know what they wanted to get done as president. (All candidates) In this dream there was term limits of 2 terms only so the Congress (senate and house) could not accumulate alot of power or stroke to influence the other. All raises would be voted on by the voters. All politicians paid attention to the voters and tried to do what was best for them.(what a novel idea). There was no lobbyist to only get what they want for special interests. These special interests would have to woo the voters instead. I had a dream and then I woke up.

I honestly believe that the two-party system, along with its infernal bastard cousin, the lobbyist cult (yes, including my beloved NRA), will be the eventual ruination of our country, relegating it to the status of a third-world nation -- IF IT HAS NOT ALREADY DONE SO. The water has to swirl around the toilet bowl a few times before it goes down, you know. We may be in swirl mode.    :spooked:
