Melissa Owens' dog team tangled with a herd of musk oxen on the outskirts of Nome last week. Heather Williams was with her in the truck they were using to train the team and took this picture. "It's my home page on my laptop," said Owens of the photo. No dogs were injured, nor, apparently, were any musk oxen.

A bald eagle finds a friend Tuesday in the neon eagle on the historic globe about the Seattle Post-Intelligencer's offices.

This is a very cool shot.  How ironic that the eagle chose that location to perch.

Also, if you've never seen the P-I globe, it really is quite spectacular.

When I first saw it, I thought it was much more contemporary, but it's been a Seattle landmark for more than 50 years.  It's a cool piece of neon signage that reminds one of "The Daily Planet" sign from Superman.

Where's IYT lately? I can't see the pics. I know some you said were removed but others are showing a red box.  :confused:
