31 is looming. 9 days, to be exact. Officially "In my thirties."

Three kids. Husband. Two cats. Largest mortgage in the family.

Little League expenses. Heelys. Pre school, kindergartener, AND middle schooler.

And I wouldn't change a thing.

But Saturdays have become so lame. When did the highlight of my weekend become Saturday Night Live and a couple beers? Then progressing to my 11 year old and I having our biggest bonding moments on those late Saturday nights.

Indy has a "newest hot spot," according to the commercials. Peppers, with its two locations, one in Broad Ripple and one in Greenwood, a club that has been around since before my Broad Ripple roaming days. I was kicked out of there on my 24th birthday, because of an altercation with then-boyfriend "Old Guy" had with a Knicks fan during a playoff game. Pacers lost that playoff title.

I remember the days of calling a couple girlfriends to go out to the clubs. Mostly it was "Old Guy" and company, hitting the bars until we were too far gone to remember going home. Great stuff to reminisce, but I don't miss those days.

That doesn't mean that I'm ready to curl up in flannels by the eleven o'clock news with my milk and cookies. I'm discovering the healthy social life of a "thirty-something" and realizing that it probably won't be as bad as I once thought.

I've always thought life after marriage was non-exsistent LOL!!!! I've been married for 17 years, there have been good times and bad. A little excitement and alot of bordom. Your life doesen't end after 30,I promise. There are alot of good times to come. Just think, in a few years your kids will be grown, and then you get your second wind, before your grandchildren come along.

Daisy it could be worse!  You could be 32 and the only thing on that list you have is the mortgage!
Take time to smell the roses.

Don't worry everybody goes through that range of emotions.  When you get to a certain age, you sit and look back over your life. I think it has alot to do with the fact, that we start to look at our own mortality.
