I have not been on line in days, so don't know if anybody here noticed (or cared) about what happened in the Commonwealth of Virginia on election day: I have not had much sleep since then so don't have a lot of specifics but will say Democrats won big time! We now have a democratic governor, and democrats in just about every public office.

I live in Fairfax County (Northern Virginia) and on election day seemed like everybody who could got out in the rain and voted. I saw lots of older people, some disabled to the point they could hardly walk.

I got there about 11 a.m. and not a parking place anywhere, so I drove into a residential area across the road and parked, and I was not the only one. In the decades I have lived here, I have never seen crowds like that.

Our new governor is a pediatrician and Army veteran!
