This is a tricky one, and it's a good example of why spelling does matter. It's n***Er, not niggAr.

Ah, but with the spoken word you would not notice the spelling and a lot of people would not pronounce it properly so that you would be able to tell which they meant.  :wink:

So if a black person calls a white person "white trash" it is not a racist term? What would you call it? I suppose you don't look at "cracker" as racist either.

If people would look up the definition of the "n" word; it means an ignorant person. In my  opinion, even some whites are that.

No dictionary that I've ever seen lists that as a definition.
