What a ridiculous amount of hoopla was made in Fishers over the police dog that was killed.

It just goes to show how crazy people have become in worshiping the 'Cult of the Warrior' that they will exalt an animal to 'hero' status.

  Y all you have to do is realize that all cops need is a IQ of a German Shepard to be a cop.   :rant:

  Just think of this, cops kill over a thousand citizens each year and injure and maim more than that each year.  Hardly none are arrested.  Given a paid vacation and later when thing cool down a raise in pay.   :rant:

The difference between the police and their K9 partners is that the latter are merely responding to their training and don't get to make a choice about whether or not a situation is too dangerous.  I am constantly reminding handlers that when the guns come out, it's time to put the dogs away and man up and do the job they signed up for.
