If you happen to have had the great misfortune to read the Herald Parrot over the last couple of days, you've already seen the validation surrounding just how low and desperate things have become for the "candidates". . .

On Saturday, one of the mayoral candidates had to spend his entire day running about town and repairing or replacing his signs, since someone, (or many), saw fit to run around and vandalize them late Friday or very early Saturday morning. I saw it myself along 38th street and in the Meadowbrook areas. . .

THEN, today there is a very controversial and highly questionable situation surrounding this very same candidate, and possibly one of his campaign workers, wherein it seems a couple of voters were coerced into signing what they thought was a voter registration form, that in actuality was a request for an absentee ballot for the upcoming primary. Allegations both deny with vigor, while pointing out that the process through which these two separate complaints were delivered, is not the legally recognized nor typical one; thereby leaving the complaints and their true source as very suspect. . .

Is one party stooping to dirty tricks in order to discredit the other; and if so, which is the true culprit??

Your guess is as good as mine, but thus far it changes nothing surrounding who I intend to cast my vote for!

In my opinion nothing can surpass the Republican Party Dirty Tricks Teams.  I would surprise me if this didn't come down from the state level.  The Indiana Republican Party.     Also I think this is a national program, they want to win no matter what the cost.

3 for 3. Todays Herald Parrot had another case of squalling. This time the other candidate had his signs vandalized, and it would appear that someone put up signs pointing out the fact the incumbent made a practice of hiring family and friends; which he promptly had city workers, on city time, go out and remove . . .

This town reminds me of Cicero Illinois back in the day. . .

. . .The Madison County Election Board on Friday unanimously cleared Smith and Vaughn of any wrongdoing and referred complaints signed by Nyla Cooper and her daughter Jennifer Corcoran to the office of Madison County Prosecutor Rodney Cummings. . .

Neither - though it could be said I don't have a dog in this fight.

Time needs to return to when LEO's and FF's et al were forbidden by statute to run for office.

I have a monetary and business interest in what happens in Anderson though I don't live there.  I don't know if Troll has any such interests or not.

Are you certain RtR is a registered mayoral candidate this election?  Last I heard he hadn't registered, but admittedly that was some time ago.  I'll have to check and see if I can find out for certain if you don't have a source.

Thank you.

For some reason I can't bring it up, but no matter.

Do you consider him a viable candidate?  I don't.

Probably not, but I heard him speak once when he was running for something and he said some interesting things about getting more businesses in Anderson.

Most candidates, and the genpop too, don't have a clue when it comes to talking about getting more businesses into the city.  They mostly want to see how much of the 'farm' we have to give away to bribe these businesses into coming here - think Nestle's for example - which in the long run turns out to only be a good deal for the businesses and not the city and it's residents.
