QuoteTOP 10 MOST DANGEROUS US CITIES, 2010

1. St Louis, Missouri
2. Camden, New Jersey
3. Detroit, Michigan
4. Flint, Michigan
5. Oakland, California
6. Richmond, California
7. Cleveland, Ohio
8. Compton, California
9. Gary, Indiana
10. Birmingham, Alabama

I've always pictured Gary Indiana as a small town, so I was surprised to see it on this list. Actually, I was surprised to see any city in Indiana on the list, but especially this close to the top.

The top 3 do not surprise me, nor does the cities in California. Although they're not  close to San Diego, they're made well known via the news and rap songs.

Gary, IN has been in the running for that list for a number of years. A lot of gangs and the thug life rules there.

Back in the day when it was a steel city, my father would avoid it during our vacation travels because of the nasty smells it emitted. Today pepople avoid it because of the nasty disposition of its inhabitants!
