Of all the things I have to bake today, I can't figure out how I did it last year. How did I cook it all and nothing got cold?

I am cooking the turkey, 2 casseroles, 2 pies, and mashed potatoes. What do I cook first???!!!!

Turkey on the top shelf and casserole, one at a time underneath? Then again, dinner isn't until 4:30, so...Hmm. Dammit! How did I do this last year and why did I decide to skip wine this year? I think that was what was keeping me sane.

Well, I hope it worked out, Chef Daisy!
Didn't get a chance to get online til today--got a new computer as an early xmas gift and I'm just now getting a chance to play!
Anyway, I always cook my side dishes and pies early in the week so they just have to be heated on Turkey day.  Then, all you gotta do is bake the bird, and after the bird is through, you take the bird outta the oven to set a bit before you carve and that's when you throw in the casseroles and stuff to heat through.  Then I make the gravy while the side dishes are heating up.
Oh, and have lots of wine on hand.  Lots and lots of wine!
If you don't have anything nice to say then come over here and sit by me!

We opted for Guinness this year. I was drinking it all day. It was great.

I ended up baking pies first, then turkey, then while the turkey was cooling I put in the 2 casseroles (I just couldn't fit them on the  bottom rack since I had to move the top rack all the way down to fit the turkey, and I didn't trust the broiler underneath the oven (My oven is mounted up in the wall with a broiler underneath, with the stove top next to the oven)...then after those were done, while everyone was eating, I baked my 3rd pie.

LOL Yes, hide it! I could really go  for a  few pints right now.

Actually Sunny, I mentioned to Aaron back in November that when we return to PA this summer that I would like to be able to meet up with you and go shopping. He wants to come, too. He's a shopaholic. Well, then again, I've told you that. LOL

That would be dandy! I'm sure my husband would love to join in, as well...although he'll probably find a pub with tv!

And I'm sure he wouldn't have to twist Aaron's arm too hard to follow along. LOL
