Well, there are no dog tracks here in the great state of Washington, so I'll have to settle for the horses.  It's opening weekend at Emerald Downs and I'll be at Saturday's meet.

These are the entries for the afternoon's third race.  They're all three-year-old fillies.  They'll be running five furlongs on dirt.  I'll add odds to the field as soon as they become available.

I need to see the racing form. I need more info on each horse before I can vote.  I was pretty good at picking the 2nd place horses that ran at Hialeah.  I am still kicking my butt for not placing that $2 trifecta on the long shot.  Would have won $24,000.00, but I needed a gallon of milk for the kids. Any idea how many gallons of milk I could have bought?
Looks like I've come full circle.

Seems like a short field...

Well, it appears that Seattle isn't a hotbed of horse racing.

According to the entries list for Saturday, nine horses is the largest field for any one race.  (And only eight races on the card.)

pffft...I can't get any info from that.

The odds should be available later this afternoon.  As far as programs and DRFs...you're on your own.  I only post what I can find for free.

The morning line has been posted.  You can change your votes if you like.

I'm sticking with the longshot, thanks.

I picked Miss Fast Dancer because when I first glanced at it I thought it said, "Miss Fat Dancer" and I thought that was a crappy name for a horse.

It sounds like a crazy way to pick one, but the last time I was at the dog track, I had $8 in cash on me and I decided to place it on some dog. I ended up winning a really small amount..like $40 or whatever it was.  I was thrilled. Then I wanted to bet on the long shot and his name was "Outhouse Sam", to place and show, but I talked myself out of it. Not only did he place, he came in 1st.

Go w/the funky name. It works. LOL

I voted for Attitrudi.  Nothing like a bitch with an attitrude.   ;D

The results

1.  (1) Miss Fast Dancer 4.00 2.60 2.10
2.  (6) Mystic Trick -.-- 3.00 2.20
3.  (3) Muddy Rose -.-- -.-- 2.10
4.  (2) Attitrudi

*(4) Jolie Slew:  late scratch

1-6 Exacta:  7.70
1-6-3 Trifecta:  12.60
1-6-3-2 Superfecta:  24.20

Looking at those numbers, I can definately say there's more money to be made at the dog track.

We weren't picking who was going to be the late scratch? Darn. I nailed that one.
