There has been a full blooded c o c ker spaniel wondering around my addition for about 3 days or so...Greenbrier addition.

I finally called out to her yesturday and she came up to me although she was very frightened. I put her in my back yard and fed her and my children fell in love with her.
Last night she started howling because she was lonely, you could tell she is an inside dog but I don't let dogs in my house around my cats.
I had my sister come over and take her home with her until we can find her family.

Here's what I know about her so far:

Full blooded with cropped tail
Appears to be a much older dog
Appears to be spaded
Well groomed and nice and healthy looking (although she was dirty and had burrs in her fur from being in the woods, i assume)
She is black in color
Housebroken
Very gentle natured
Had no collor or tags but could tell she had a collor on but it may have come off
Seems to have an infection of her eyes (probably from being in the woods) which my sister cleaned up really well last night

I want to find her family because you can tell she is an indoor dog who is very loved and i'm sure her family misses her as much as she is missing them.

She has one other quirky characteristic about her which i will not list but the true owners will know about.
If anyone knows who she may belong to, please email me at mysticreality32@hotmail.com

I contacted the newspaper about running an add and i called the animal shelter but nobody has reported her missing.

did you ever find this poor doggies owner?
Dogs come when they're called; cats take a message and get back to you later.

Yes we did. The lady called the next day. The poor dog was blind and almost deaf because she was very old.
The lady said that her son was putting up a new fence and she wondered off. They identified her before us confirming it was her.
When Shelby was reunited with her owners, she was like a little puppy again.
