DELAWARE COUNTY - A small plane has reportedly crashed in southern Delaware County near the Henry County line.

The Delaware County Sheriff's Office confirms to WTHR.com the pilot was the only person on board and rescuers were able to get him out of the wreckage at a wooded area near 7405 County Road South 875 East. He was conscious and alert when emergency crews took him to the hospital.

Indiana State Police are also investigating this case.
