The farthest state of mind I've visited ...

Sitting at the Kennedy Center Concert Hall a couple of years back listening to the NOS perform Beethoven's 5th - TOTAL NIRVANA!  :smitten:

The Troll

Sitting out in the Atlantic Ocean at 9:00 PM on the Song of America cruise ship between the USA and Cuba watching a stage show with a large crowd of people watching a stage show.  I said to my wife, this is right out of the movie, the Twilight Zone.

State of mind: The first time, decades ago, that I sat in the Kennedy Center and watched and listened, transfixed, to Itzhak Perlman and his violin.
All of life is a process of testing and initiation, always preparing for a higher level of consciousness -- and illumination. -- John Horn

Palehorse

Place: Royal Domain of the Penguin (66-32 south latitude) Colder than hell itself, but about 58-60 miles north of the Arctic Circle.

State: Alaska - Bering Land Bridge National Preserve-

State of Mind: Both of the above were mind altering landscapes and environments far removed from civilization and most modern comforts. However, there have been quite a few other events/places that rival these, for example; Walking the battlegrounds at Gettysburg, Fredricksburg, The Wilderness, and countless others, each evoked a startling spiritual and mind altering state from me. . .

I was barely past being a colt in age when I went to the first two, but the battlegrounds brought back the very same feelings I experienced back then when I trod them in true adulthood.

The farthest countries have been Germany, Ukraine and Warsaw, Poland. Warsaw is beautiful especially the artist part that we went too. We have also been to Cancun, Mexico and Guatemala, Central America. Guatemala is extremely crowded  but the coffees are great!
State of mind would have to have been walking the battlefields in and around Ft.  Oglethorpe, Ga. You can almost feel the shadows of those who were killed in battle at the Civil War.
Farthest state has been Arizona. We went to Scottsdale! I would love to go to Alaska some day!

State of mind:  The middle of my living room floor listening to Scheherazade full blast on my stereo, 2 speakers on each side of the room, one of my two favorite classical songs.

Country:  The Bahamas.

State:  California when one of my grandson's was born.  Drove the coast highway from Sacramento to San Diego and it was great.
