I saw an interview the other day with the creators of the 'Bible' series.  I told my wife I couldn't believe the so-called 'History' channel put something like that in their programming.  Of course, they've gone far afield from actual history when they put shows about aliens and other such crap in that vein on.  They ought to start another channel for that sort of programming and keep actual history on the 'History' channel.

Law of Logical Argument - Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.  ;)

"You've probably noticed that opinion pollsters go out of their way to include as many morons as possible in surveys ... I think it's dangerous to inform morons about what their fellow morons are thinking. It only reinforces their opinions. And the one thing worse than a moron with an opinion is lots of them." -- Scott Adams

In other words: Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  ;)

"It is difficult to get a man to understand something when his salary depends upon his not understanding it." -- Upton Sinclair

"Hitler is gone, but if the majority of our fellow citizens are more susceptible to the slogans of fear and race hatred than to those of peaceful accommodation and mutual respect among human beings, our political liberties remain at the mercy of any eloquent and unscrupulous demagogue." -- S. I. Hayakawa

Well, this topic forced me to watch that series, in its entirety today. And I have to agree; what useful purpose does airing a theatrical representation of the Bible serve? I am sure there are many of todays bible thumpers reeling over a black Sampson.

And that crap about "Satan" appearing to be "Obama" is just that, crap.

It was tiresome and repetitive in nature. And there was a ton of literary license exercised throughout.

The "History" channel either needs to get another band to put that stuff on or change it's name to the "Story Channel".
