Wow!  Trip down memory lane there and I've never even been to Anderson!

Grease was a great flick!

It is just yesterday for us old people.  We remember yesterday better than the day before this one.  By the way, that day is it.

Every one of those businesses are gone as they existed then.  All the theaters are gone, but the building the State was in still stands, though probably not for much longer.  It's been empty for years now with no maintenance to speak of.  The Rivera collapsed, if anyone remembers.  The South Drive In was turned into a trailer park and some commercial businesses.  They closed the Mounds Cinema and turned Penny's into a multiplex.  Roger Hughes has been Kutche's for a long time, and Eberhart has been Tom Wood for a long time.

It was raining really hard when the Rivera collapsed. My sister and I had gone to the Paramont to see a movie and when we came out it was pouring rain and just as we got to my car we heard the sirens going to the Rivera.

Wow!  What a coincidence!  I was at the Paramount that night.  Decided to see the movie there rather than the one playing at the Riviera.  Was the movie the Hellstrom Chronicles?  I can't say that was playing, but for some reason that movie comes to mind.

I think it was either the Poseidon or Piranha.  I'll ask my sister if she remembers.
