At this point isn't it the States that set the teachers salaries rather than the Federal government?

Actually ... in my state, the counties set teacher salaries.

Just like the home office for McDonald's sets msgonser's salary.

Just like the CEO of my company sets my salary.

Do you want fries with that bs burger Bo?
Thats my story and I'm sticking to it!

I set my own salary.  Actually it's Hourly...and if someone wants the work done, and they do not want to pay what i tell them I will accept...then I guess I don't get to work.

Exactly!

But at the same time, they aren't going to find too many people willing to do the same work at my wage. So I usually do get to do the job.
Looks like I've come full circle.

THAT is the way it is supposed to work...I agree Pari...

I repeat ...

How many of you set your own salary?

the point is.........the FREE market SHOULD dictate what salaries are NOT the crooks in Washington....

Should Tiger Woods make HIS salary?..........

But it is okay for them to dicate some?

Not in the private industry world .... NO

It was YOUR choice to work for the Government

I would submit that when your company needs billions of dollars in assistance from the federal government, you are no longer working in private industry.
Arguing with Christians is like playing chess with a pigeon.  No matter how good I am at chess, the pigeon is just going to knock over the pieces, shit on the board and strut around like it's victorious.

The truth is slow, but relentless. Over time it becomes irresistible.

And I would absolutely agree...and THAT is why federal assistance can be a very bad thing.
