And help me figure out a good way to get my hands on $800 fast. I'm in the last stage of credit repair and I will be clean, and my life will basically be free of all this stress you guys have seen me carrying around here lately.

Give me your ideas. I'm talking fast...like a week and a half or less.

While keeping your reputation intact?  ;D

Gryphon

Seriously...do you have any jewelry you could offload?
Or through your house, any valuables? (Think that show--Cash in the Attic)

~Daisy~

Yes, while upholding miy impeccable reputation!!

I don't have any antiques...I did have an old wedding ring that I sold a few weeks back. Didn't get much for it, about $300 for a ring bought for $1600, but now I'm out.

Try selling the story you just posted in "musings" to a magazine.

Call around to your local human service agencies, psychologists, lawyers(?)...see if anyone needs a typist for reports? This may sound crazy, but almost every profession has some type of "report", "evaluation", "court document" that has to be typed & quite possibly they'll let you do it at your home.

Getting the money fast means you need to sell something now--furniture, autos, machinery and appliances go fast with the most money to collect.
Of course if you have gold or silver--pawn shops are always willing to give you cash--good luck at getting debt free!

If you come up with something legal and profitable, let me know...I'm right behind you.
Looks like I've come full circle.

let me know too...... christmas is just around the corner.. Being broke seems to be more and more the way of life for us .......these days.

If I had any ideas I would share them with you, but like some one said.. the only way for quick cash is to sell something.

Writer's Market is sold at stores...and you could find it online, too, Daisy.  There's a great big market out there...and your talent should tap into it...

Great stuff, dear girl....you do have the strength of a recovering....we are a rare breed, aren't we?

It takes a lot of courage to release the familiar and seemingly secure, to embrace the new. But there is no real security in what is no longer meaningful. There is more security in the adventurous and exciting, for in movement there is life, and in change there is power.

Thank you guys!

I will check out that writers market thing. I have been googling for ways to get into freelancing. Not sure where I'm going to start, but I have decided that since I've lived the past few months for everybody EXCEPT me, I'm going to change that the first of the year. Once all this drama is done with refinancing this house, all this shit is paid off, and all of our court dates for Aaron's traffic tickets are gone THEN its about ME! I'm going to start looking for ways to seriously get back into writing, even if it means workshops and other things during the week. I'm also going to start studying for my Series 6/63 so I won't have time to play financial games at home. Its going to be about me, and dammit, I've earned it. I've proven I can be very strong, despite the temptation of falling back to "typical me."
