Today I am thankful for having the chance to return "home" and to raise my children in a wonderful, safe, nurturing environment.
What are you thankful for today?
I am also thankful for coffee....life's juice....what would we do without it?
be able to fall asleep?
I am thankful for the warmth in my office. It was a cold drive to work with my window still stuck halfway down!

BRRRRR! I bet. I thought you were getting that fixed this weekend? :-\
Um yeah me too. Apparently the person who was going to fix it was too busy doing other crap (I guess going to a strip club with his wife and then church on Sunday and eating dinner with the family after church like they do every single f'ing week is too much for them to make any kind of adjustments to their "hectic" schedule and help a friend, after saying they would. Whatever.
Anyway, I sent Cache a PM to see if her husband is still interested in taking a look.
What a bummer....seems like it's pouring on your parade. I hope he can take a look at it....
Me too. I gotta get out from underneath this heavy raincloud!
I'm thankful mostly for the kids. When I look around me I can find lots of things to be thankful for in all honesty, but the kids are always at the forefront of my thoughts.
I am thankful for having my husband home for the past 7 months....and I'm also thankful that we'll be going back to work next month!
I am thankful today for the abundance of jobs in the transportation industry. A new job has come over the horizon, and though its really just a bandaid until we can get him where he REALLY wants to be, it is nice to know that he will only go one week without a paycheck (unless their $1000 sign on bonus is immediate) and we won't drown in debt after all.
I am thankful for having the courage to stop smoking!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am thankful that FCM quit smoking!
And that's wonderful news, Daisy!!!!

Thank You Sunny.......It's the best thing I could have done for myself.
Absolutely, FCM! YOU GO GIRL!!!!
Today I am thankful TO HAVE A CLOSING DATE!
How exciting!!! When's the big day? And do you get to take possession at closing, or do you have to wait a while?
I am thankful for my family...
My dad has taken my car all around the place today getting things fixed. He surprised me with having my window pulled up, had my battery fixed (loose cable), and is bailing me out once again, so that Aaron can go to Missouri for this interview without a hitch. He did all this to surprise me.

Next Friday, SM! November 3rd. I am so stoked! And yes, we get immediate possession. I won't actually get to move for a few weeks, though -- husband is going to paint everything & get it all spruced up.
Thanks for asking!!! That's very kind of you...

Wonderful news, Daisy! Looks like the rain is lifting... :smitten:
Well congrats, Sunny!! I know what a big deal it is for you, as I have gone through the same thing myself. We moved from WV to PA in 1994 for my husband's job....and while I grew to appreciate many, many things while living there, it was never really home to me. I laughed at an earlier post of yours when you said something about the air even smelling sweeter in PA for you. When we would cross the border from PA into WV while visiting, my husband and I would always take a deep breath and say, "Ahhhhhh, fresh West Virginia air!"
Well, WVa would probably be a very good second choice and a wonderful place to call "HOME". It's an absolutely beautiful state...and I bet the air does smell mountainy fresh.
Just so long as you drive S L O W down...what is it, 19? We've made many trips from PA to NC, passing thru Beckely area...somehow, my husband ALWAYS seemed to make me drive when we got to the speed traps.
Yes, you're right....Rt. 19 it is. Summersville, Fayetteville....notorious speed traps indeed.
But, at least your husband LETS you drive....mine would have to be completely incapacitated to turn over the wheel to me!!
Wanna trade? I am SO not looking forward to making the 19 hour drive to PA. UGH!
Ah yes, Summersville...I think we always stop there & get Baskin Robbin's Ice Cream at the Service station which also houses Arby's.
WAY TO GO SUNNY....WAY TO GO   CONGRATS MY FRIEND!!!!!!
Thanks so much, FCM!!!! Victory for us both.
This is true........bring on the dancing Banana's
Well, since ya mentioned it!
We are also very thankful for the dancing banana!

Well, since we're on the subject of fruit......
I am thankful for:
OCTOBER TOMATOES!!
I am thankful for lazy and quiet Sunday mornings although Oreos are from Satan and I love them.
Mmmm....Oreos....they are a favorite of mine, as well.
Do you like the seasonal ones or traditional?
I am thankful that I don't care for cookies at all. On rare occasion do I eat one, and only one, and I attribute my cookie aversion to my mother, who could sit and eat a bag of cookies every day if she didn't mind gaining weight.
Cookies are one of my weaknesses...but, I prefer homemade Chocolate Chip...oh my...

Yes
Double stuff, chocolate, fudge covered (although I don't like the white fudge or mint ones)
I've never tried any of the others...I think I will need to look for the fudge covered though...
OK--ya'll better quit--I'm trying to eat my Kashi over here!!!!
Cookies, donuts, cakes...they all talk to me....
"carbs are your friends...pay no attention to what the diet books say....carbs are you comfort and your joy....carbs are your friends...."
LOL!!!!!
And, like anyone who hears voices, I gladly listen and obey...LOL!!!!
LOL! Sorry, Tallulah. Actually, I don't believe OREO's are something any of us should be eating *too* much of since we're doing the Fitness Challenge.
Are you joining us, btw?
(Me, too Cookie!)

Seriously, until our challenge is over they are out of the house!
Oh yeah, I've been on it! Since I got the ok to resume my aerobic activities (I've been laid up with a heel spur for about 6 months) I've been trying to knock off some of this weight........so I'm ready for the challenge--*She says with aching abs*................

Cool. I'll add you to the list so you can give us a challenge after Sunny...right? Am I forgetting someone? I'll figure it out and let you guys know.
Kewl--BTW--Love your avatar!
Boo!
I am thankful for another team member! YEAH Tallulah!
Today I am thankful that we showed our FL house....please let that phone ring with a bid!!!
I am thankful that my child can come home to a warm loving home and I have plenty to eat.
I hope I never take these things for granted.
There are to many kids who do not what we have.
Today I am thankful for Clorox Cleanup, Gatorade, and Saltine crackers.

Grandchildren :smitten:
Home Sweet Home. :smitten:
My oven.
Its working over time. We don't use it much in the summer, anyway.
Making veggie lasagna tonight, blueberry scones for breakfast, and if the boys are good, moosetracks cookies for a snack tomorrow.
Can you tell someone has the munchies?

Moosetracks cookies? Care to post the recipe in my Recipe thread? ;) :smitten:
I'm grateful that the holidays are upon us and will soon be over and we will have a brand new year to make better choices in our lives!
Most excellant thing to be grateful for, Tallulah. :smitten:
On to new beginnings.
I am thankful for my husband. He is almost done painting our new house! (With help from Mom & friends)!
Today he did the girls' rooms -- oldest will have a pink room (modeled after the following, but slightly less pink) and youngest will have lilac.

Oh how pretty! I want a daughter! :(
Okay, someone help me with a boys room motif. I have no ideas. I've never been a little boy.
I'll look around, Daisy! I found this room in Parenting magaize...it caught my eye because the article was entitled, "A Room for Big Sister".
Here are some cute ideas, Daisy...

Today I am thankful for so many things...to be back here and to be back "home" out there. So many apprehensions have been eased -- everything has fallen right into place and all changes are GOOD ones. Without too much drama, I would like to say the past 4 weeks have been a lesson in humility...we have been embraced by family, friends & neighbors...so many offers of help...living with bare essentials and appreciating the finer things in life, as well. All of the pieces of the puzzle are on the table now...hallelujah!
First & foremost, we now have APPLIANCES!!!! We take those things for granted, I think. I've been cooking, baking, and smiling everytime I open the fridge. *snicker* Three weeks of McDonalds is a bit harsh.
My husband started his new job on Monday...the job HE wanted & is in 7th heaven.
My girls LOVE their new house, new rooms & have acclimated so well to the new environment...sleep in everyday and can't wait to go outside to feel the cold air upon waking.
I begin my practicum on January 8th & have also picked up a little part-time job on the weekend...it's great to interact with adults in real life! LOL!
Without exageration, we have visitors on a DAILY basis. That is validation in & of itself.
SO much to be thankful for. :smitten: And I'm so excited to share it with you all.
That's a wonderful story! I've got that warm and fuzzy uplifted feeling now and I'm thankful for that. Although, I'm not sure if it's your story or my 3rd cup...maybe a little of both.
I'm so happy that you're so happy and excited about being home. The fact that everything is falling into place helps you to feel assured that it was the right decision to make. Anytime with major change there's always the lingering doubt until things seem to.
Congrats on everything, Sunny.
Thank you so much, Mojo! (And I'm on my 3rd, too!)
LOL, someone should tell me what number I'm on, I forgot to go to bed and I've fixed 3 pots of coffee in the last 24 hours.
I am thankful for my family, and for my friends.
I am truly blessed.
And my friends here give me smiles and giggles and sometimes something to think about.
Glad things are falling into place for you, Sunny.
Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.
